Great video and very helpful. I like your solution to setting the seal and I will use that if my usual attempts using PVC pipe or wooden dowels don’t pan out. The things I like about plastic or wood is that they won’t scratch bearing races, etc.

That’s for sharing! Yeah I have Volvo penta ax outboard that’s leaking gear oil small leak drips from the prop. So did you end up using all the gaskets from the kit?

No I did not, I just changed the prop seal. No leaks since.

have you ever replaced the bearing on the shaft ? when I drained mine the other day there was water in the case along with metal in gear oil.

Never have replaced the bearing. However it can’t be hard to do.
