Thank you very much indeed for the kind words and shout out brother 🙏🏻 👍
My latest CL has very pointy pins - if that gets raked I'm sending the Boys out 😂😆🤣
Nice one J. you've got me all excited now 😃
All the very best to you and yours, have a great weekend 👍 🍻 🍻 🍻 🍻

This technique works wonders on security locks... not all but a lot!

Another bit of knowledge to add to my lock picking thinking..

Very nice explanations. I remember when BB started this, throughout the whole challenge lock comp there were lots of people in the comments who used to complain each video when he changed from only SPP them to giving them a rake first to a false set then spp'd to the open. People felt that if he couldn't pick the lock spp then he needed to declare a whipped to the challenge lock builder and send the paclock out. People felt that by him raking the lock to a false set then spp'd, was being disrespectful to the challenge lock builder and to the modifications that were put in place to be experienced individually, not raked and 'overlooked'. People felt that raking to a false set constituted cheating in the comp to get out of having to declare a whipped and sending out a lock. After this went on for some time eventually BB decided he wouldn't do anymore challenge locks. This controversy has been going on since then. Cheers

always a pleasure to get more insight from what I understood about the BB CL Saga. It was his rules, and if whipped he'd send out a prize. If the lock survived, it went into the community.
Challenge locks have evolved way more from their humble beginnings, but to be fair on hybrid picking, I don't really see the harm if they are calculated and not haphazardly raking and sloshing a rake around in the key way. that could be comparable to B!t h picking or going into the extremes.
you have some excellent insights and I think more people should be encouraged to share their thoughts on challenge locks and a universal approach and guidelines.

I appreciate it. call me. just run across a dysfunctional channel that dives in to a bit of insanity more or less to the dark side of LockSport, which entails the dark arts of causing pain and grief inside of small torture devices called challenge locks who indulge themselves and like to have their single pin picking skills pushed to the limits.

@j.gabriel8573 I totally agree with your views on your other videos. I've noticed a few people take it to serious and ruin it for others.
Just a quick why it's wrong to bump a cl lock? Is it because it may damage it? I don't bump locks but wouldn't mind adding it to my arsenal.

@martinstockbridge3449 lock bumping will mess up stock locks especially the key pins. I do need to make a video on the evolution of challenge locks. many challenge locks have hidden tricks and features, even down to custom security pins that are multiple parts that can't take the forces exerted on them from other attack methods. I have had pins get bent, warped and broken by excessive tensioning. the thing that I have came to understand about that challenge locks are more for SPP and challenging the picker in that method to improve their skills and it's not all about getting the challenge lock open by whatever means that doesn't destroy the lock.
it's a whole different ballgame from the time Bosnian Bill was taking them on and even then he had outlined rules and how he would attack them, but there was also a prize involved for the CL makers who whipped him.

@j.gabriel8573 yes that's what I thought it may damage them. My main goal is to improve my spp. Just wanted to try some bumping . I'm still finding security pins hard and be a while before I get a CL. 👍

@martinstockbridge3449 I do have some bump keys and a bump hammer, I wouldn't recommend doing locks that you cherish in your collection but just to mess around with I would find some locks that you wouldn't really care about possibly damaging.
