thank you for the suggestions, still hasn't helped me out since so many share similarities and yet are so different. 🙏🙏🙏 thank you for the suggestions though
I am probably just going to stick to what I was originally calling them as a whole," hybrid"; simply because even though the pins have differences but are very much the same as they are different , for the most part. I do appreciate your input, but trying to give a solid name to one and then trying to name another one and treating it as a different pin but still functions and has the components and makeup of the previous pin, would basically equal the definition of insanity 😅
At first glance it looks like a valve stem core. That doesn’t make for a good name though. Maybe it could be your signature pin. The J-Pin? The Gabe? Regardless, looks awesome.
I figured I'd share a insanity inducing question that I've had for awhile and curious to see what others would come up with, so far no matter what pin it is, it's pretty much the same parts, different lengths, some flared on 1 end or both ends, same parts, but distinctly different. now with that being said, would the double rattlesnake PIP technically a quadruple pip? bro.... it's insanity when I try to really figure them out
thanks brother, same here. trying to name something that is so different and yet so a like, is like the definition of insanity even though the pins have distinct differences but yet so similar trying to give them different names. i think it's why I just was calling them hybrid when I started going down this rabbit hole with these types of rattlesnake/floating wafer pins
great name for the whole genre of floating wafer/rattlesnake pins that the hybrids are as a whole, but trying to give them an specific identifying name that can separate the differences between the pins that share same physical aspects and appearances when you begin to look at their similarities and yet differences. I figured out that's the manifestation of insanity going down that rabbit hole.
I have had thoughts on making a triple concentric ring rattlesnake/floating wafer pin would be used in a Medeco biaxial CL. I haven't justified buying what I need to make 1 or 2 of those pins. I have decided to call them hybrid, because it can easily summarize them simply because the pins can be described differently and yet the same. I have came up with some wild stuff to put in CLs that would have made it to the lockporn segment of Bosnian Bill, if he was still active. been thinking about taking up the offer for making a CL and it getting into the hands of LPL. That is if I don't decide to retire from CL making. thanks for the input, if you decide to dive into the seedy dark underbelly side of LockSport and make CLs, my best to you and not only I but others will be glad to help you in your journey
yeah I guess I had to listen to that old song, it's been awhile. but you did help me name the challenge lock coming to you though. I still got to see if it's still in the US or on its way to you now.
@@BeercanBushcraft I get it, but I could not tell you exactly how well it dances inside of a challenge lock. I just know it gets funky feedback. I'm just sticking with a hybrid since there are so many that share the same composition and yet could be so different

These are awesome pins my friend. How about something like J's hoops. Cheers
thanks, hybrid I feel is pretty much spot on, since the pin's description upon inspection can be viewed as more than one way or style of pin.
