Great video man! Everyone you mentioned are great people! I agree completely with your other thoughts as well! Looking forward to your future videos as well! Thanks J!
Very nice to see you picking again and getting opens. That 570 put up a bit of a fight. The challenge lock I had a issue with was the one I made, the trench traps I had made in the last two chambers on the core were too wide and with the core having been flattened on the top I think that had made the driver pins get stuck in them, preventing core rotation when the key was in. I am gong to redo the core and follow your advice on making them trench traps and see how that goes. It was good hearing the history you found out about challenge locks and how they had evolved. Thanks for this video, cheers
LMAO, yes, there's quite a few J.Gabriel CZcams channels out there. it's fine with me allows me to no stand out as much and still kinda remain under the radar as best as I can.... if possible. I gotta see if I am subbed to yours, it gets hard to keep up with them all 😆
right on, I am beginning to run out of them, chose to get 100 more since there's only a limited amount of them to give. figured I'd add a few more for the running joke on the chip
Man tinnie shared a lock that was raked to death man! I couldn’t believe how flat it made the pins. Which then in turn whittled the pin down atleast a mil or two under shear😳🫣. I’m curious how many raking cycles it took. If I was a cat I’d be dead😆.
well depends on the rake's profile rounded or sharp points, how much tension was used, the aggressiveness of the raking action and after remembering seeing brass dust coming out of some of the locks that BB raked, tells me in the right situations, it doesn't take much to understand what is going on.
I had, and still have, a Yale 110/something that my son raked the ASSA out of with a brand new Lock Cowboy city rake (unsanded) it took him about two hours to eff it up and for the key not to work! IT WAS OUR SHED PADLOCK 😭
@@BeercanBushcraft well I have to say that sucks and being more of an SPP rather than raker and when I did rake it was pretty gentle and not sawing away at pins. I'm trying to get a cognition to the best practices because I had forgotten about them. still had BB tactics fresh in mind that was seen over and over again, vs some text i may have read once on twice and forgot about.
@@BeercanBushcraft yeah I could see that. Especially the high bogata peaks. I’ve really been working on tension and feathering while raking. I seen I went a little ballistic on a lock. Sure i wasnt doin pins a favor. Though is a keyless lock.😝. The sheds lock…. What a Turdball😜. Doesnt he know his fathers in locksport🤷🏼😂🫣. Probably had a hundred throw away locks to rake on. did ya take his bday away😂🤣😝. I’m dying because I could totally see my son or daughter for that matter doin this same thing🤷🏼😆. I’m dying of laughter!
Good talk.
