Hi, welcome back to my kitchen! I know it’s been a minute, but I’m so, so excited to be back making something again. I figured what better way to celebrate the Black community and the wonderful women in our lives than combining the two for Edna Lewis’s banana pudding! Edna Lewis was one of the most influential Black chefs not only in the world of Southern cuisine, but the culinary world as a whole. Being from the South, I consider myself somewhat of a banana pudding connoisseur...but Ms. Edna Lewis's recipe takes the cake - LITERALLY! Have you ever had banana pudding made with angel food cake?! Umm...it's incredible.
