Alonso was taken to hospital after the race for precautionary checks after his car recorded a vertical impact of 28G when he left the track and hit a bump during his duel with Jean-Eric Vergne. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Its so sad that we missed out on 10 years of Alonso in the front... Whether you are an Alonso fan or not you have to admit that his one of the most fun drivers to look at
Alonso himself is partially if not fully responsible for those winless 10 years.
He deserved what he got though. Blackmailing his own team principal at Mclaren, cheating in Singapore 08 with flavio, burning bridges with Marco Mattiacci and Ferrari.
But since he came out of retirement he appears to have matured a bit (even though I still think he's highly calculated and deceitful by nature)
but yes a driver of his talent should be in a top 3 team
@@GM_FtblA
Do you have any evidence about Alonso cheating in Singapore 08, or you don't have and blatantly lied?
@@GM_FtblA you got it all wrong, especially that Ferrari part, he did not burned any bridges, the problem with Ferrari as a team started the right moment Luca Cordero di Montezemolo offer Ferrari to help, and Ferrari said no.
After that Ferrari was on a spiral that Fernando Alonso cover with his hands driving muddle cars to winning positions.
Ferrari is not going to win anytime soon, this next 2 years are a transition to them, with no real poject sonce they fired Binotto, their only hope is to assemble a team that can compete in 2026., if they can not do that, they can easily arrived to 2028 without winning anything

I just saw this car running yesterday at Circuit of the Americas in Austin. Was insane.
What an overtake from Fernando Alonso
👏👏👏
Always. The guy is a legend
Funny to see him young now. He's probably feeling 22 at that point if you know what I mean
"But was it really that hard? While some sources report that 28 G figure, others, close to Ferrari, say the hit was nowhere near that hard, and that the spike due to a failed mounting point on the sensor itself. Ferrari hasn't given an official comment"
Not 28 g impact
28G was him landing after hitting the curb too hard.
It's the peak G-force, it's only for a split second. If you jump off a swing, you can experience a peak of 6-10 G-force depending on various factors. I don't think 28G is out of the realms of possibility.
No way that is 28G
Yeah epicguy it's right , G Forces are dangerous but the time you are subjected it's very important. You can feel a huge amount of G Force but for only tenth or hundredth of seconds.
Said this, I think there was no 28 G's.
Amazing thanks for sharing!
Alonso is so crazy!
And full throttle
ALL THE TIME YOU HAVE TO LEAVE THE SPACE
Unfortunately that respect was lost, nowadays the norm is to push the guy on the outside line out of the track.
"Oh there is a wall there? Not my problem, i have the inside line"
I remember this. This is the season I remember the best.
It's pretty stupid how they investigated Alonso for track limits but never did for Verne pushing him off the track.
I suppose it was before the era of FIA clamping down on moving under braking, pushing someone off etc
Vergne likely didn't know he was there. Martin Brundle even said it during the replay. That's why F1 should think about having spotters maybe
@@murphymoerfF1 with spotters would be amazing imo.

Amazing how much faster these cars seem because of the wider angle lens of the TV pod and the zoomed out over head shots as opposed to the bullshit telephoto shots they use now.
All the time you have to live a space!!!!
what about this is 28G?
Look the description
The bumping on the curbs registered 28Gs
@@Rodrinki sounds like bullshit. 28G's???
The bumping on the curves, it’s a vertical impact
there's no way that bump was 28G. there were jumps with much lower G forces upon landing that caused DNFs.
Where is the impact?
The british commmentary on a Spanish driver is always jokes😂
These cars were FAST.
I've always wondered how they measure G forces. I mean if you put a sensor on the tub of an F1 car the tubs are so rigid that the Gs would be exaggerated. If you put them on the driver himself, well, humans are quite flexible and so the Gs would be less.
Bro old F1 cars were better even the cams are in a better resolution
Actually this was just HD resolution. What made this video better is that cars used to be shiny while nowadays everything is matte
"These guys are impossible to race with".
Did Alonso get a penalty for that?

ALL THE TIME YOU HAVE TO LEAVE A SPACE
Hey man, this impact looks like 4G or 5G, but the G-Force sensor is always true.
Yeah. Clickbait title
It is not clickbait at all. Alonso’s sensor registered 28G after this impact. I agree that it can seem weird but this is the reality. The day before Raikonnen got a 21G hit at the same place.
The fact is that this time it was a vertical G-force that was applied to the car and not an horizontal one which is much more common.
Vertical G-force are much more « sharp ». Do you imagine the force that need to be applied to a car to make it take off ?
Finally, the only point that still an enigma is the fact that Ferrari said the sensorbox of Fernando’s car wasn’t fix correctly so the G-force measured was more important than the real one. This explanation is really bad because even if the sensor box has moved a bit more than usually this will not add 10Gs or more to the real impact. So we can call into question this statement because even Alonso said it was 28Gs, he had to go to the hospital just after the race.
Hope its more clear now.
Bro it made the G-Force warning light turn on on the chassis
Can we please talk about how David Croft confuses Hamilton for di Resta. Pretty hard to do when the Mercedes was all silver and the Force India had lots of orange and green.
Croft is a truly dreadful commentator, I agree
.28G
How was this a 28g impact?
the floor shoots all the G into the driver, with all the downforce sucking the car to the ground, an insane level of g was needed to lift the car up twice
@@jasmine.rchrds I don’t think you understand what G forces are
It was just transversal, but a big bump still
Vertical acceleration due to bump
"But was it really that hard? While some sources report that 28 G figure, others, close to Ferrari, say the hit was nowhere near that hard, and that the spike due to a failed mounting point on the sensor itself. Ferrari hasn't given an official comment"

But i think that (even with that fuels) giving back larger engines will be something that FIA will find as sin.
Like they would be Greenpeace, not motorsport...
They would rather put smaller (V4, V2, then 1 piston engine) and be closer and closer to solo electric.

Under investigation: TRACK LIMITS!! After Verge pushes him off with half a car over the white-line, and they investigate TRACK LIMITS, not forcing another driver off no, track fucking limits.
Alonso must have shagged FIA’s boss wife cause how much they try to screw him every single time is unbelievable.
Well, technically, Alonso did exceed track limits to perform an overtake. But also there's no way Vergne could've seen him in time to leave enough space for Alonso as he was ahead of him.

Kinda surprised Alonso didn't get a penalty for not slowing down.
Verne couldn't see him, so wasn't really Verne's fault. He was ahead anyway.
He was already on track, out of pits, passed the pit line and Alonso's front wheel were already at Vergne's rear wheels level entering that turn so therefore Vergne had to leave a space cuz he could see Alonso on his left mirror but he didn't til last second.
with todays ground effect cars, alonso would have probably flown after hitting the bump, and he was alongside so I hope Vergne was penalized

Vergne didn't do much wrong keeping his line and unaware of where Alonso was, Alonso however was rentering the track (from the pitlane ) in a quite dangerous way and could see Vergne in front of him.
Whingelonso must’ve paid the FIA as usual to get away with it. Done it in Australia and did it in saudi.
