- The “Andor” series will explore a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It’s an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.
Diego Luna returns as Cassian Andor and is joined by cast members Genevieve O’Reilly, Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough and Kyle Soller. The executive producers are Kathleen Kennedy, Sanne Wohlenberg, Diego Luna and Michelle Rejwan. Tony Gilroy is the creator and showrunner.

I love the fleshing out of more minor characters like this that really matter to people. It's just smart
I'm really looking forward to Andor. I was so surprised at how different it feels and looks compared to Mando, Boba Fett, and Obi-Wan. Like what was the budget for this compared to those other shows? lol I always knew that Andor had the potential to being the "best" Star Wars show which it would end up being the biggest surprise since not a lot of people were hyped for it compared to other projects. And I have been loving the recent Latino domination of Star Wars lately. We legit now have three Star Wars shows with Latino leads through Mandalorian and now two other upcoming ones with this one and Ahsoka. Despite the setting being in a galaxy far, far, away, I'm still good with it.
I think the very reserved, more modern "cinematic" colour grading and (what seems to be) more on-site shooting is what's giving Andor a more expensive feel. I could be wrong and it actually cost 3x as much as Obi-Wan, but let's be honest, there's no way Disney did that lol.

Three things... 1. I got super excited seeing Hector hosting parts of celebration. 2. After watching Diego on the stage and he started speaking Spanish I got weirdly emotional because of the representation he's bringing to Star Wars (oh and I'm a 51 year old white dude saying this) but that's the power of Heros. I caught up on their podcast and could not agree more if more roles were given to other ethnicities. 3. Yo Hector where did you find that shirt! That's something I can wear to work.

It looks to me like we're going to see what it's like when the Empire shows up and takes over a planet. Specifically, the planet that Cassian Andor is from.
One of my favorite things of Rogue One was invoking the feelings of the post World War 2 movies like The Dirty Dozen, Where Eagles Dare, The Guns of Navarone i grew up watching in the 80s and am excited to see more of that style and genre in Star Wars with Andor.

Fun fact: When Hector popped up on the screen at Celebration, my reaction looking up from the crowd gathered around the stage was, "Wow they're really committing to the in-universe authenticity here. 'Live broadcast from Nevarro?' Coo... Oh wait. Oh shit!" 😄 Also, come on guys. Star Wars was serving up Latino representation in the original trilogy with the OG's, baby! ~ Darth Vato and Obi-Juan Kenobi! El caba-Jedi contra el Sitheño.

I absolutely love Diego Luna. Chelsea Handler had a show on Netflix and in one episode she went to Mexico City to interview Diego Luna. It is still one of my favourite moment in television.

you can just tell by the trailer, and after watching the first two eps of Kenobi, that this is a much higher quality production.....Kenobi has been good but I was expecting more. This looks really good, sure it's just a trailer but the Kenobi trailer already had me worried, this is invoking excitement and anticipation instead.

EDIT: Mando reignited my love of Star Wars. The sequel trilogy was hit and miss for me, there were high points (The Last Jedi) and low points (Rise of Skywalker) but since Mando I am starting to feel as unequivocally excited about anything disney does in the Star Wars universe again the same way Im perpetually excited for anything Marvel puts out. Were eating good these days guys, we really are.
