It takes some time .Just work around the back of the intake you are going to need a short extension . You may need to put the socket in the spark plug hole first and then put the extension down in there . Some vehicles are a little different so if you can't get to it you may have to pull the intake off and that's not really too bad either . Make sure that you put rags in the intake holes once you take the intake or the plenum off so you don't drop anything down in the engine .
Helicoil is something you can use depending on how hard it is to get to .You need to find some body who knows how to use it The hole needs to be tapped out and helicoil is used to rethread it .You need to make sure you get all the metal out of the cylinder after you tap the hole out The other option is replace the head .
It depends on which bolt you are talking about from the factory it's a 5 mm Allen head bolt to take the cover off and a 10 mm head bolt for the ignition coil now if somebody has already been working on it there could be different size bolts
Yes some may be easier to get to and some may be a little harder to get to but it's the same the way you test him to figure out whether you have a bad coil or not. If you pull the coil and you hear the spark then you could have a bad fuel injector or something else going . on
If it isn't one that's easy to get to and it's one that you have to pull the intake off to get to. It would be best to take it somewhere they can hook it up and the ECM or the computer will tell you which cylinder is misfiring . And if you have to do all that it would be best to go ahead and replace the plugs while you're in there and if you can afford it replace the coils .Most of the time it's going to be a bad coil but it could be a bad fuel injector or you may even have something else going on .
I did replace all of the coils and still misfires, I have a po303 so cylinder 3 misfire, change cylinder 3 spark plug still misfires then I went and did all of the coils and still misfires. I want to see if it is the injector that's the problem but I don't know what injector is #3 and I don't want to keep wasting money for no reason
Very clear direction. So simple, I want to do myself.
With a few tools you should be able to .
Thanks great explanation.
Your welcome.
How do you work around it? That thing is hard!

Thank you. I will be doing this tomorrow
Your welcome .
doesnt change the back three though thats what i need lmao
Pull the intake or plenum off .
what sz is the bolt ?

Is it the same process or easier for non vvt 95-99 ?
I'm not sure what you're asking me

Remember make sure you let the engine cool don't ever replace the plugs on a hot engine block . You could damage something .
