Thank you very much for your helpful video ❤❤❤
Great job! Thank you so much for this
Not difficult at all just requires a little diligence. I'm happy to do a job like this because it only is required every 100k or so and it's a tank of a motor. A little extra work doesn't mean a bad design. And furthermore it's a good time to get in and inspect for leaks and clean things up.
Gracias my friend, excelente video. Saludos desde California!!!!
Thanks for the video, good explanation!
I love u man...learned a lot..Bless u always...Just love the video

Awesome video 👏
Thanks for the help!
great video
Best video by far

Just watched your engine rebuild od Toyota Camry 2.4 liter.
First, when tightening Head Bolts, turn the engine 90° so the head is on the side, not the top! The engine stand will not roll around as you torque the head bolts.
Second, I 'm old and have not done this in a while, but piston rings with oversized pistons are extra long on purpose. You insert the ring in the resized bore and mark it and grind for the appropriate ring end clearance. My Dad swore by grinding ends on a diagonal to reduce blow by and oil use.
You don't have to pull out the intake manifold. You could do it without doing that. All you need is some sockets and some swivel.
Man this seems very difficult. I've changed plugs on honda v6 and they are much simpler
I’m thinking the same thing. I thought it wouldn’t be that bad until he got to the back three
Mine says coil D is bad can you show me where that might be I have 08 Avalon limited.
When working on an aluminum heads using copper antiseize will cause corrosion, you should use silver antiseize.
Do you have any content on mitsubishi L200 triton.👍
I have the exact same car I will be doing it tomorrow, you made it look easy .. nice to the point video .. DId you remove the battery terminals or is it not necessary. Thanks
It's not necessary because there aren't any live wires that can cause a short. But if you are someone who uses the top of the battery to put tools then I would disconnect it to be safe 👍
Thanks for the video. Might as well replace the manifold gaskets while its off. The Car Care Nut on youtube has a more granular diy for this but yours is certainly good.
Thanks for your comment! That's definitely an option since you are already in there (repair of opportunity).
Did you say 1-2-3 are in the rear?? 😮. It’s 2-4-6 front 1-3-5 rear if your facing the front of the motor??? May want to fact check 🤷♂️ Every Avalon I have ever worked on that is….
You're right with the cylinder numbers. I was counting the coils to show you that we have easy access to all three coils in the back 👍
The engine is inconvenient when changing spark plugs. I subscribed to you.
Thanks! Yeah, a lot of V6 engines in cars and vans can be a little challenging. The good news is you only have to do this every 100 thousand miles 🙂
You skipped that part at 5:58-6 how you got the bolt loose
Standard short socket and ratchet. Once you get it loose you should be able to get it the rest of the way with your fingers 👍
It is more than 13 ft lb. 13 ft lb might be too loose. I would say more than 13 ft lb but certainly no more than 22 ft lb to be safe not to strip it.
The ridiculous requirements to work on these cars is one of a lot of reasons I don't own a front-wheel drive car.
The work i had to do on my 02 Subaru outback just for the gasket to blow cylinder 6 kept misfiring changed all plugs coils and injectors
The Toyota dealership charges $595.80 to remove & replace my 2008 Avalon spark plugs. Is that a fair price or should I go to a local family owned auto repair shop?😢
@@caroldavis5158 That seems like a fair dealer price. You can get it done cheaper at a non dealer shop but either way just make sure to go with a reputable place and ask about their warranty.
That’s a ridiculous price lol. Do not pay over $600 for this… find someone local. It’s not a hard job. Dealerships are highway robbery
Went to dealership, charge $795...ur are cheaper be happy don't worry....
To much work😩😩😩
I'd like to say that I respect the edit on this video, very informative and helpful, thank you
