Johnny Cash Folsom Prison Blues Lyrics
I hear the train a comin'
It's rolling round the bend
And I ain't seen the sunshine since I don't know when
I'm stuck in Folsom prison, and time keeps draggin' on
But that train keeps a rollin' on down to San Antone
When I was just a baby, my mama told me
"Son, always be a good boy, don't ever play with guns"
But I shot a man in Reno just to watch him die
When I hear that whistle blowin', I hang my head and cry
I bet there's rich folks eating in a fancy dining car
They're probably drinkin' coffee and smoking big cigars
Well I know I had it coming
I know I can't be free
But those people keep on movin'
And that's what tortures me
Well if they freed me from this prison
If that railroad train was mine
I bet I'd move it on a little farther down the line
Far from Folsom prison, that's where I want to stay
And I'd let that lonesome whistle blow my blues away
Roy Clark was unbelievable on that guitar. I think Cash enjoyed the humor.
I am sure every person loved Mr Roy Clark. He was such a good hearted and funny person. His guitar playing was even better.
Yes it was unbelievable how good he was. He could play anything with strings on it.
@@QuantumGamingUploads His guitar playing went from incredible to impossible, in that he did things with guitar performance that I don’t think has ever been equaled.
He did it so easily, and had so much fun, people didn’t take him seriously.
Roy Clark is in the top three guitarists of all time. The man was a wizard with six strings.
@@nathanclaspell6003 Roy Clark was the best guitarist of all time...
God damn, to see 2 legends in 1 stage, the fact that Roy's talent and showmanship, combined with the idea he can make Johnny Cash smoke which I've never seen ever, this has to be one of the greatest music performances I've ever seen. If not the greatest ever.
Two of the best ever.
JOHNNY CASH 3x LIVE IN FRANKFURT/GERMANY.
Great Concerts 🎸💫💥🎤🎶🎼🔊🎸🎙🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
Habe die 3 Eintrittskarten noch 🫠😃
I just caught myself smiling the whole time watching this. True legends, I was fortunate to have lived in the same time to enjoy their music.
Great song!Added to my karaoke list! ❤
Roy was amazing. So funny too!
One the Greatest Guitar Players of all Time. Miss them both
YES! YES! "🎁&🎁" 🎶🎶...

"TREASURES" 😊💚*🙏🏽
Just wonderful, they were having a better time than we were 🤣
Man, the smile on Cash's face for the bit with the drinking glass says it all.
I love that comedic flair of Roy Clark.
Absolutely the hardest I've laughed and cried at the same time. I can't believe I've never seen this. These two legends are responsible for my speed when I play thrash metal. Love this!
This is great but you have to watch the two of them do Orange blossom special.
@@vondrewvious1 awsome. I'll check it out. Thank you for the recommendation.
@@randymiles904: I don’t know if it was all that funny but it sure was fun, lol.
@@rayray8687 roy Clark was the king of doing hilarious shows, while showcasing his incredible talent
@@randymiles904: I agree but I liked his serious side even better. His version of Aznavour’s translated ‘Yesterday When I Was Young’ is as perfect as a song gets. And his version of ‘Malagueña’ using a flat pick instead of fingers is impressive but looks like a lot of unnecessary work, lol. His flat picking is good and it’s fun but in my opinion the best flat picker ever is Molly Tuttle and I doubt I’ll live to see anyone better.
The only occasion the man in black Johnny Cash smiled and showed a happy face was when working with Roy Clark.
It took everything Johnny had not to cry. 😂
They are both gone but not forgotten! Roy was a genius in playing instruments 🎸
Well said, if it had strings Roy could play it😁
an amazing era . Don't think anyone gonna ever experience that kinda talent to be seen in their life time . Who woulda thought to play music with a glass ? .
Compare this to entertainment today. How far we have fallen. Always wish I got to see Johnny cash. Closet I came was getting to sit on a dock where Johnny used to fish on in Florida. June Carters parents owned a house along the river that dumped into gulf and he would go down and fish. I was talking to old men who owned the local bait shop there and they met him several times. They said he was most down to earth and real guy they ever met.
June Carter's parents!
RIP JOHNNY AND ROY
It's 2024, end of days, and they still sound amazing, I'll never get tried of Johnny and Roy Clark. 😅😊🎉
Roy Clark was just a guy that was just fun to be around. Such a great performance here with Johnny.
Roy Clark is PHENOMENAL on an instrument. I think he can play as Good as ANYONE who's EVER played. He don't get the recognition like Eric Clapton, Jimmie Hendricks, or Eddie Van Halen, but he can play just as good, or BETTER than them. He's FUCKING PHENOMENAL!!!!
Quite honestly talent wise he is better.
👏 Every once in a while I miss those old guys, and Hee-Haw.
Me too, and how things used to be. The older I get, the harder it is.
Two true legends.
That was just a lot of fun.
THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT.... TALENT IN SPADES.... RIP TWO IRREPLACEABLE GIANTS.
Roy Clark broke the mold! Glad to have grown up with these two!
I remember seeing Hee Haw when I was young, but I’m almost ashamed to say (but I’m learning) I had no idea what a supreme talent Roy Clark was. One of a kind humor & entertainer, & an absolute guitar wizard!
I said exactly the same thing. My grandpa would watch Hee Haw when I was little and I had no idea how talented they were. The songs were silly on the show, but perfect harmony.
Heck yeah Roy & Johnny are awesome
Oh god that was fantastic❤
Roy Clark reminds me of my Grandpa but without the guitar playing lol
Pure Legends !!!
2 American treasures
I absolutely loved it!!
Roy Clark is underrated player
Two legends at there finest
The best music ever. and i'm in dec. 2023.
Johnny Cash thoroughly enjoyed that, as I just did😊
1:24 that laugh, even Johnny was wondering where the effects are coming from :D
1st time I've seen it, loved it! Dad's a johnny cash fan from the beginning so I have to show him
When entertainment was entertaining. Not like todays shows with jimmy fallon
Love both. Kimmel is awesome.
I loved these two!! They were so good.
Great stuff. RIP both of you
A pleasure to listen to and to watch, what a pair.
Roy Clark has my vote for best guitarist in the world!
He was absolutely amazing. Did you ever see him play "Malaguena"? Phenomenal!!
@@sassykitty292 YES!!! That was simply an amazing performance!
Can’t beat that. Thanks for the post.
Roy Clark could play a tennis shoe and make it sing.

Kudos to the band to not only keep up with the odd timing of the key changes, but to also keep the beat going when not changing. Well oiled machine.
Wow! Make your electric guitar into a steel guitar with the addition of this one pint glas.......
монстр Кларк вауу!!!!
Классные профессианальн и великолепные актеры
And Johnny was trying not to bust out laughing
Johnny Cash never got past the third fret in his entire career
I have a saying of my own. I need a little Cash every day. 😀
I wouldve liked to see Roy Clark and Danny Gatton jam. Maybe they are in Yonder.
Cracks me up to hear stories about Roy Clark and his GIANT vial of cocaine.
What ?
I miss the old world when it was still sane.
I'd like to have my normal world back again.
I miss Roy Clark and Johnny Cash, too.
Why can't we vote for some people to live to be 200, them aging as slow as can be?
😂incroyable ce gars...👍
