I bought the Freego Shotgun F3 Pro because of this channel. I love this bike so much. Got it last month and put 200 miles on it. Upgraded from a Lectric XP 2 after the controller blew up for the 3rd time. I'm getting fast speed and great range. Highly recommend it

I bought the nomad per your recommendation and I straight up love it. Almost perfect bike for the money. 25 mph is just fine for a bicycle.
20 - 30 mph are totally enough for a bike
@@mr.e5172 i agree completely. I rarely ever go over 20mph on my nomad and discover. It's unnecessary and it also absolutely murders the battery. I get like 20 miles per charge at 20+mph.
@@cynic256 exactly, i had an accident with arround 18mph and trust me it hurts - how with 35-40mph? Most of the time the speed is between 15-20mph, rarely at 25mph. How much watt does your motor have and how big is your battery? 20miles seems a little bit too low

In my first days of yearning for an ebike, I came to conclusion that I would only be happy on an Evelo Atlas, a bike designed to do precisely what I wanted a bike to do. After a year of wistful dreaming, I woke up one day. Short of hitting the Lotto, I was never going to be able to justify buying a $4500 bicycle. New search, this time with the goal of finding a bike I could afford. I found the Velotric Discover 1 and have quit dreaming and started riding. For many reasons, the Nomad might have been a better choice but I didn't want fat tires. I have made several updates to components on the bike. It does everything I want it to and I still have less than less than $2000 in it. Thank you for your valuable videos; they are a big help!

Facts, It offers everything someone wants except light weight. Having the ability to go 38 mph doesnt mean you need to go this fast. Its just nice when stuck with cars

I purchased the Euybike S4 three months ago from your recommendation and it has been performing well. So far I have ridden 800 miles! Looking forward to reaching 1000 miles!! My son has friends with other brands of ebikes and S4 is outdoing all of them. I will buy another one for my son for Christmas. Love it! Thank you!
I'm stoked with my S4 as well. I moved the seat back a bit and added a rear rack extension from a Super 73 S (had to drill a couple holes to fit) as well as a rear basket for grocery runs. I just wish they offered more accessories/parts on their site and stocked the ones they already offer.
Update: Moved the seat a bit forward again because the grocery weight so far back made the front too light and squirrely.
@@stxrobstar Thank you for this comment. Was wondering how the Super 73 rear racks would fit the threaded frameside connections. The one piece seat is nice, and I've added one of the inexpensive rear view camera/monitor setups by 3D printing a mount for above the tail light. Very happy with the S4 overall.

hey ive been watching your channel and some other top 2023 vids. i kinda like your honest fun reviews and bikes the best. not that the other lists are bad i just like your take on things. i think my favorite class is the commuter ebikes bc they have skinnier tires. if the go1 had a 750watt motor i could go for that one. the discover1 is cool but i kinda like how they dont have torque sensors. cheaper too. good prices now. the battery is on top and oddly enough velotric seems to have the best rear basket(med) which i like bc it can carry at least 2 grocery bags. my favorite so far is the hovranger st. i guess it doesnt matter if the battery is on top or bottom of the down tube but top seems easier. i wonder if they mount on bottom for cooling. it is the most expensive of the 3 bikes and only weighs 55lbs, almost 5-10lbs lighter. it has straighter bars and comes w a rack, unfortunately no decent basket from hovsco but the r rack does look stronger. anyway thank you, and ill be sure to use your links when im ready. i have just have to sell a bunch of scooters and bikes first. stay safe and happy 2024. 🌞

I also bought the rear basket from Troxus and then the Suntour NCX suspension seat post from Ebay, I have less than $1500 invested and over 800 miles on the bike.
You can scoot the EUY S4 seat back if you drill 1 hole underneath and makes for a very comfortable ride for tall guys
I have six Nomad ones? because of your video that started it all one year ago😂 I have one set up for different styles of writing each have turned several of my friends on to them I have to agree may not be the fastest may not be the strongest but right straight down the middle it's a winner🏆

I would definitely get the Wired Freedom if it had a torque sensor. I definitely love how much better it feels compared to a cadence sensor.

I have one, it’s a great bike my only complaint is the brakes which need to be adjusted too often.
I’m surprised I haven’t seen you review any Aventon bikes whatsoever. I have the Aventure.2 and it is an amazing bike packed with a ton of features considering it’s under $2k. I paid $1800 after taxes and free shipping plus they included a free spare battery. Highly suggest looking into reviewing some Aventon bikes!!

Curious why the Juiced RipCurrent didn't make your list? Pro's / Cons? I like the simple upright look. And would like to hit 28MPH+ on a bike. Wish it had skinner tires like the commuter bikes.

I went for the ones i could affort at the moment i bought them . I got a Gotrax and it was not worth it imo so , i got a Hiboy p6 because i wanted a fat tire 28mph ebike with integrated battery under 1500 canadian dollar ( its 1250 now i think ) . So far i love it . I will definitely get another one eventually. What i would look for is better breaks , rear suspension, fenders ... Im just not sure yet if i want to go faster than 28mph ,the wired at 40 mph look amazing . Great chanel ,great review 👍

What do you recommend in a full suspension mnt e-bike that has 2.8 tires and is similar in price / performance to the Freedom Cruiser?
I got the Hovsco cargo bike by your recommendation, and it TOTALLY changed my life! My wife and I can take our kids to a nice trip around town. Or either of us can go for a grocery run without our car. So much less effort!

I was just ust wondering if you have heard anything about Aima Big Sur fat tire e-bike. I was looking into it, but I think you would give the best unbiased opinion.
Can you do a video for your fave bikes between 4-7 K? My biggest problem is I’m 5ft 6 in tall so 26 in fat tires are usually too tall for me. I like lots of good suspension, battery longevity, and power- & I want to be able to plant my feet fully on the ground without issues either height.

So i was hoping you were going to talk about 1 bike in specific on here but after you said under 2k i figured you wouldn't but then you actually used a video clip when talking about the fitness aspect. The Async A7. I know it's $3k but i really wanted to know where that bike lined up for you. Maybe make a top ebike video with no price range.
Velotric really needs to make the top speed 28mph for all their bikes because this is still the legal speed for the class 3 e-bikes. Not having 28mph is one of the downsides of their bikes. If they make the nomad 28mph, add rear suspension, and bigger 20ah battery size, both UL 2849 and UL 2271, and cost around $1500, then it would be my perfect bike. Hopefully there will be nomad 2.

Here using a Benzin-Bike, speed arround 20mph. Would use an eBike if the Range (and then 6-7hours charge...) wouldn't suck. They say 80-100 miles but in reality its 30-40 Miles. With a benzin-bike the range is really 80-100miles, i can take 1 Liter Benzin with me and get another 40-50 Miles...For me a bike don't need more then 2 - 2.4' tires. No need full suspension if not using it as a pure MTB climbing hills... With that 2 changes can save weight, that can be invested in the battery for more Range. Rear Rack is important.
Have you tried the foldable e-bikes? I am thinking about traveling and I have looked at several. The name of one is lectric e-bike tops at 20mph.

I can't believe that Aventon Aventure 2 didn't make the cut. By far it has the best torque sensor out there on a budget ebike and great range plus perfect for exercise.

He's really biased. He calls the Hovsco HovAlpha "better" than Aventure 2.
I compare ALL my bikes to the aventure 2. Aventon has a torque sensor that is top notch and I have ridden a lot of ebikes. TO me right now aventon's torque sensor is the best on the market right now@@chaxologist2961
Aventon is just your typical 48v hard tail fat tire with a small battery. Most people buying these bikes (older people) hate torque sensors. The Aventon is overpriced.

Of all the ebikes you've tested, do ANY come even close to an off-the-shelf pro bike*, in terms of center-of-gravity (lower/narrower), long stems, disc brakes, electronic wireless shifting systems, etc...

I’ve a problem with my setup as I’ve gone homeless, with solar trailer with fridge gas oven and battery she’s a big gall at 150 kg with out tent food and bedding added, love my ebike I have she’s got me out an about with out the pain I’ve been dealing with but she can’t pull trailer up hill
