Do you still have the panda mini car? And would you consider selling it? I need a golf cart style vehicle I can take down the side streets to CVS and the grocery store less than 1 mile from my home. I showed your video to an officer who lives on my street ad he said it would be fine for me. Hope you reply. Thank you
Have you ever checked out there AIPAS e cargo bike? The dual battery is on sale plus a coupon brings it down to $1,600. Unfortunately, it does not have the rear seat accessories like LECTRIC.
The cheapest route to go requires 3 skills…..being Mechanically inclined, good fabrication skills, and being very Knowledgeable in ebike Components.
And for a extra bonus….Building you’re own is very fun, and you will know that bike like the back of your hand….No more having to take yours to a bike shop.
Are you out of tel aviv, please say you got out ok and you are back home
Hey are you still here I hope you are okay and wasn't in Tel Aviv, please write back
Lol I can't afford even the affordable option
Lectric Lite is $800, I think.
Wish he would have included one of the decent $700-800 options.
@@Another-Address not everyone can afford everything they want. I've seen Walmart sell e-bikes for $400 on sale. They most likely aren't as good or reliable as these other well-known brands.
If I sold my 1996 Corolla wagon I could get a decent Lectric XP 😅
@@apj341 that Corolla will last forever, the e-bike, not so much.
I went e-bike riding for the first time a month ago. I really enjoyed the experience. My friend rented me a Pedego bike for the day and there was a small learning curve, but I really had fun until the lady in front of me, in the group ride, stopped suddenly, and to keep from running into her, I hit the ground and the bike fell on me. It was at that moment that I really realized how heavy the Pedego bike was and I thought that was how all e-bikes were. After viewing your video, I learned a lot, especially about the weight of e-bikes. With this information, I can shop for an e-bike that I can handle and be able to lift on my own. I am 69 years old, (but I think I'm 29) and I still enjoy somewhat strenuous activity. Thank you for giving good informative information. I have friends much younger than myself who walk with canes, but again, I think you are as old as you think you are. Enjoy life - ride a bike!
If you just need a little extra help (class 1), many of the smaller battery options should be be sufficient. It's a nice balance between heavy, long-range e-bike and a normal bike. Even with my class 2 e-bike, I tend to only use the lowest assist level. It tends to overcome the weight difference nicely. Class 1 or 2 e-bikes stop assistance at 20mph, so that's about as fast as most folks ride them. Whereas, I can get my normal bike up to 40 mph if I really huff it.
I've been looking at becoming an e-bike dealer and have been definitely eyeing this market as I feel most dealers only focus on the loaded boomer/retired community 55+. These are great for general work commuters in the Gen X & Millennial space commuting less than 5 miles to work. Working at a hospital that is having parking problems too, going to start a program and hopefully sell them these ones and get more people off of the car dependency cycle!
As a potential customer dealers with great after purchase support really seals the deal for me
if you can somehow get good sources and build brick and mortor stores that arent all expesive bikes only itd be greatly appreciated
Great list of bikes Micha. Always appreciate your genuine nature and good hearted energy. I always look forward to checking out your videos when they release. Keep doing great things!
The battery capacity on all of these electric bikes is abysmal and quite disappointing.
RadRunner 2 costs $1,499 and you get a 672-watt battery.
Lectric XP 3.0 costs $999 and you get a 499.2 watt-hour battery.
Aventon Soltera.2 costs $1,199 and you get a 345.6-watt battery.
Ride1Up Roaster V2 costs $1,345 and you get a 252 watt battery.
Velotric T1 ST costs $1,299 and you get a 352.8-watt battery.
TotGuard electric bikes are probably slightly better than all five bikes mentioned in the video. If you want to spend RadRunner 2 type of money then you best purchase a Wildeway FW11S instead.
Thanks for the helpful tip!
@@WaffleLauncherA TotGuard electric bike costs $551 and you get a 480 watt-hour battery. A Wildeway FW11S costs $1,399 but can be as low as $999 and you get a 1,536 watt-hour battery.
which Tot guard bike would you reccomend?
@@gabiawan6744The 480Wh TotGuard bike going for $530 is what I’ll recommend.
Bro lime bikes have 350watt and they are powerful enough to me. 250 little bit low on power but 350 is definitely enough
I remember the days of just reading your bike reviews and detailing the events in the biking community on your blog. Thank you for expanding into more and more areas regarding electric vehicles (bikes, cars and the DIY scene)
Hi, had been an e-bike user here in the Philippines since 2019. Really learned a lot from your channel. Been using it as my main means of transport, now as utility to bring grandkid to school and leisure. Loved your channel.
Micah this is an awesome thing youre doing! You not only do great reviews but helping people out like things is very kind of you!! You get back what you give in life and I wish you much good health and success
I bought an eBike last year. It was used with only 70 miles on it. We live in the mountains and 5 miles from town. I can coast all the way into town, but coming home is up the mountain.
We live far enough out of town that we have a PO Box in town and my dad’s pharmacy is also in town.
2 trips into town and back is a gallon of gas in my car, so it’s nice to have a bike with battery assist when needed, plus it’s great exercise for late spring, summer and late fall (until our 5-7 feet of snow hits our area).
I can also put my bike in the bed of my pickup and drive into the city and ride on the “Loop Trail” (15 miles) on both sides of the Columbia River here in north central Washington state.
Another insightful video Micah. As e-bike prices continue to climb this info is much needed. Thanks.
Thanks for the quality info
Love your content. Very informative and well presented. Having one would make getting my son to work much easier. He walks.
Thank you for making this video! I was trying to find an updated affordable ebike list!
Got the Aventon Soltera 2 and love it!! The black step over is sleek and awesome looking ! The torque sensor feels great! Great video :)
Great video. I appreciate your thorough explanation of the different ebike models . Keep it up!
I’m 63 yrs old and I’m very excited and looking forward to my first e-bike so that I can get active. Riding with my 8yr old son will be a joy. At the moment I don’t know how I’m going to afford it but if necessary I will go with the bottom of the basement until I can do better. Thanks for your video.
I'm loving these videos. I'm just starting to bike again for the first time in almost 20 years. After my ankle surgery I can't get enough biking. Haven't driven all summer. Would love to get into an Ebike.
Glad I stayed to the end, you standing behind your beliefs and speaking up in a video instead of playing it safe to keep the viewers, much respect! And I agree healthcare is a huge problem in America and shouldn't be, no matter what side of the isle you stand on.
Shame he is out here deleting comments though.
Thank you for helping Carlos.
Enjoyed this video along with your ElectraTech spots. Keep these videos coming
Great, informative reviews. Thank you!
It’s nice to see you again and great demonstration of some amazing bikes I need something light because my back isn’t as young as my fat tire bike
Thanks for the thorough and easy to understand review!!
I totally agree with what you said near the end. Also, it's a good list of affordable e-bikes, but the Lectric XP 3.0 is probably THE best value on this list. Folding portability, hydraulic brakes, 28 mph, great cargo capacity, decent battery size, and the cheapest on this list. I know the XP is a good seller, but I think it's still underrated. If I already don't own an e-bike the XP 3.0 would be on my short list.
I just upgraded from an XP 2.0 to a Juiced Ripcurrent S ($1399 on sale) and it's a *MASSIVE* upgrade.
I see in more recent videos Micah is addressing the market for lower priced ebikes. I would love to see more call-out to specific components that make these ebikes priced as they are. Additionally it would be great if Micah can address the upgradability of some of these components later on, if and when they start malfunctioning. (I.e. whether certain components can be fixed by user or requires a visit to bike shop or parts availability to general public etc.)
E-bikes are like any other bike, all components are upgradable and can be done by the owner should they want to learn to do it. He called out the specific components that were noteworthy… torque sensor, hydraulic brakes etc
These bikes are still not affordable bikes for most people. Hopefully they come down in price so more of us could own one. I have been wanting a E bike for a long time so when I do decide it’s time to get one I think I would want to buy a kit and pick the bike I want. Thanks for sharing the video. 🙂
I really appreciate what you do I love your videos great information. Great reviews keep it up man🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I enjoy your video's. I want to get one and you helped me narrow it down.
Nice video, glad you are helping people out.
Great video lots of fun and Cool bikes, thanks for sharing.😎👍
I’ve been wanting an e bike for a year now because I can’t afford to keep fuel in my moped, my family can’t afford to drive me places so I’ve been looking for an e bike for ages, I’m going to start saving up after watching this video, thanks man
Thanks for the vidéo and stay safe ✌️.
Thanks for all you do. You are providing useful thorough info. Moreover you have partnered with giants in the industry to help those stifled by cost to get a free bike. You make a positive difference in the status quo. You rock.
My dad got a big wheel ebike now we have to get rid of it because the centre bar makes it hard for him to get on and off. He has fallen a couple of times as a result. He really needs a 3 wheel ebike that allows stepping across to to get on. I really enjoy seeing your videos and learning about ebikes. His 2nd bike will be a much better fit for an old person.
Sounds like he just needed a step-through model - which are common for cruisers. Trikes are very stable at low speed but don’t turn well going fast.
Aloha ! I recently started subscribing to your channel. I like your content on ebikes and other topics of transportation. The ebikes are priced a little out of my price range so I'm waiting to see when the prices drop down a little - I'd like to use it to go on short errands around and just outside my neighborhood... maybe even a 5 mile trek to town if safe enough.
Another one to add to the list is the Ride1Up LMT'D. It's a great all round bike with 27.5 x 2.4 tires, 750 watt motor, color display, torque sensor, hydraulic brakes, throttle and real 28 mph speed. It weighs only 53 lbs and sells for $1395.
Thanks for the info! 🎉
Great content and commentary! I'm in a similar situation to Carlos G, so one way or another and for health and economic reasons, an ebike is something I need and need knowledge to get the most bang for the buck.
Once again great review. Looking to get a Lectric XP3.0
Great review of affordable e-bikes Micah. Just wanted to let you know that apparently Colorado has an e-bike rebate program that would basically buy these bikes for many people that qualify. You might want to look into it and let your CZcams community know. Thanks for all you do.
They look really nice!
I bought two Lectric XP 3.0’s. No regrets.
Thank you. Very informative video
Another Great Video
We have both the Lectric (1st Ebike) and the Aventon. I like the Lectric for some single track and gravel and the Aventon for range on our greenway.
I've learned so much from you. It's so hard navigating all the features, models and pitfalls of purchasing an ebike. I've tried winning a bike every chance I can. Maybe one day!! 😂
Thanks for sharing , i really lean towards the Orange one
11:48 am. You my friend are the best in this category of media info. Berry likable. Totally professional. And the real deal. As well as easy on the eyes. Voice is perfect.oh by the way I need a bike. Thank you for being you
Wow, thank you! Thanks for being you, too!
Thank you for your Videos they were very helpful on the desion of which ebike I should buy for myself. It was a big purchase for me and I wanted to make the right one . I love my New Philodo AWD. Thanks again from me and Mr Phil 😂
Me being disabled and can't peddle a lot one of these would be great for in town use
One about trikes would be a good idea too. The XP Trike is still my top pick.
I’d agree, but not until Lectric solves shipping damage and axle bearing failure.
I believe there is a trike episode and that was Included
Quality e bikes and affordable health care are productive messages, thank you.
Obama care is the redistribution of wealth.
I have bought 3 KBO Breeze bikes so far cuz I love them 😊
I'm watching these videos one after another I am saving to get one. I'm older living on low income, just working part time due to disability and this is all I need to survive with independence I have everth8ng in about a 20 mile range of home so with basket good charge I cab travel to work store dr. I just can't afford car insurance upkeep gas or a car period thanks you are at least helping me make great decisions keep the videos coming I be a pro when I get the dream bike of my own.
great video
I am from Zimbabwe and i enjoyed watching your videos and hopefully i will be able get money and purchase one as model in my country since i am a renewable energy entreprenuer.
Thanks for the video. Did I see turn signals on one of the bikes?
I’m sure you’ll get some flak for talking about healthcare so I figured I’d chime in and let you know there are many of us who agree 100% with you and appreciate you bringing it up, myself included.
WHAT WORLD IS 1000 DOLLARS FOR A BIKE ACCEPTABLE AS "BUDGET" 😂
Transform your current bike
... still 500
The world that invented electricity for use with the bike
There are cheaper options but you often get what you pay for. There are tons of cheap crap on Amazon for half the cost or less. It is the same with normal bikes - there are the cheap heavy stuff at Walmart and then the expensive stuff at the local bike shop. These are more like “affordable” e-bikes that probably won’t cause a house fire charging them.
New sub here. You’re a good man.
Thanks for the sub!
Nice video!
Thanks. I like your videos. Just learned the difference between cadence and torque sensor, awesome! I have a request, Could you have a look at the Randride YS90 ( it's Randride Explorer in the U.S.)? Is it a high grade or low grade ebike? Thanks again.
Entered the giveaway! Appreciate the opportunity and so happy I stumbled upon your channel! Very informative videos and helpful information. Thanks!
Nice bike(s). Not bad pricing & features !
Walmart has many awesome ebikes for very low money. I bought an Ecotric Vector 26" for just $600. bucks ...and I love it! * There are less expensive models available as well!
Thanks for what you're doing! plenty of people can't afford an ebike, but one will change their lives so much!
Do we need to enter the draw after every video, or is the entry saved from the first time?
Yes, as the pool is refreshed so people can enter for the bike that would fit their needs, or skip a week if the bike wouldn’t work for them.
Is the Veloric a good exercise bike if you choose to just pedal. Like if I was going on 20 mile ride to someones house the house being the half way point of the trip . Im asking because i ride my rad runner its a charge uop at the half way to make it home. Looking for a bike that can help me over the Brooklyn bridge and have some juice if I get tired on way back
🇺🇲here...Perfect timing.. retired n considering an affordable, laid back scoot around..but still play on my jetski when I have a need-for-speed..so I'm not dead yet, lol😂..love your vids💯...that $1000 boat one was a hoot👍..and your comment regarding our poor USA health care options here was soooo "spot on"..thx you for saying it out loud✅ ❤
Glad you enjoyed the video! That boat has been a crowd pleasure, that's for sure! 🙂
Oh wow how cool!
Thanks for making these videos I have already learned a lot that I didn't know. I like the the second one, best. I've been riding a regular old 5 speed bike since my car broke down and now I'm getting used to riding my bike to work but on the way there it's mostly uphill but I sure do enjoy the ride back since I don't have to pedal as much ! I have been looking at e-bikes and I almost bought one today for less than a hundred bucks on a Best Buy website that I thought was legit.
I'm almost retirement age and should have known better but I almost fell for it.
Maybe you can make a video to warn people about e-bike scams. I found out there are many out there. I enjoyed watching this and subscribed since I plan on being an "e-biker" someday soon.
Hi I have a question about one of your old videos that you did six years ago it's about the two-wheel drive ebike I built one similar to yours I was wondering instead of using the cycle analyst is there a way to wire a 3 speed switch instead? I love the bike but it's a real head jerker on take off.
I have a question please... If I have a small Ebike, with a 400W rear hub motor and a 48V 15AH 720WH battery. And want to upgrade the battery to more powerful one, or one that will give me more range and more power to my motor, what do you recommend? Please... Great videos!!
I recently bought the velowave spirit for $500. I've done my research on e bikes so I know that the price is far below where I can expect to get quality components and there are a few small (imo) issues with it: a couple scratches on the frame out of the box, the seat is uncomfortable and the bottom started to separate from the upper seat after two short rides (i was going to replace the saddle anyway) and the front wheel brake disc rubs against the caliper. I'll have a bike shop adjust that. The last issue is that the battery pack is integrated into the down tube and can't be removed. Velowave says it can be replaced if you ask them for a special order for a replacement pack but that I should have a bike shop do the actual replacement since it's a bit of a project. That said, I'm happy with the bike. It's very light at 38lbs with a 250w motor and a 3 level pas with a 7 gear set. Having a smaller 250w motor might be a concern for some but because it's a light weight bike it's effective. It's a lot of fun to ride and it doesn't overpower the manual biking experience which is what I was looking for. This is not the bike for someone who wants a scooter/motorcycle type experience. It's a great looking bike as well. It exceeded my expectations especially given the price.
I have Rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia but I stay active by delivering uber eats on my 2018 rad city power bike.
it looks like you can only change the battery on one of the bikes. what do you do if the battery goes bad can you get the battery replaced?
I just moved to Austin, I’m in recovery trying to straighten my life up because I have a daughter. I’ve been struggling to get to and from work and I’m just trying to be the best man I can everyday. Really looking to get an e-bike soon but I can’t afford it right now because most of my money is spent on rent and my daughter. 🙁 maybe later In the future.
You have pretty good and reviews
You missed the Jetson Bolt Pro. In my opinion the best budget e-bike. It’s super compact which is awesome for storage, it’s lovely for 1-2 hours of riding and best of all it’s quite affordable.
Any idea which one would fit me best to run errands in a small town, commute to work (8 miles), and add a child seat in the back, and potentially a 2 seat child trailer in a year?
What kind of grade can these bikes handle? Especially the orange one. My commute is only 3 miles but I travel through a big bowl. No greater than 15%.
"Features" translates in my head as "expensive and useless stuff no one actually uses."
I ride a 1956 Schwinn Corvette. ;) Features include it works.
So I need all of them, in oran 19:02 ge if you plz Micah, lol. Looking forward to your vids. Thanks
Can you do a video kinda like you did with the trikes but for e-bikes? I came to your channel for e-bike reviews and info but I’m seeing a lot of mixed stuff.
Hi Micah, I saw a bike maintenance video by you riding the Ado Air 20, what do you think about that bike? Will you review the bike?
I think the reverse trikes are better for older riders. Affordable?? Uhh, sure, on a credit card maybe.
I've enjoyed and learned a lot from this channel. 👍🤘✌👋🖖
My Ariel Rider Rideal I got a few years ago is looking pretty good nowadays. 750w motor, 640wh, 6 gears, and a throttle for $850. I can see why they don't sell it anymore.
Hey Micah I know you said steer clear of the super super cheap ebikes that are between $300-700 but for alot of your subscribers even that is alot but is way more affordable. It would be a great idea if you can do a top 5 ebikes that are in that ultra low price range even if you bring up all of their shortcomings.. maybe suggest the 5 that have the LEAST shortcomings because yes you are right there aren't really any quality parts in most of those ultra low cost bikes...
something else to note, at this price point you really will get a superior product building your own ebike if you have the time. Not so much in the higher priced bracket but definitely in the sub 1000 area.
these bikes are all $1,000 - $1,500 area though.
Micah you and your family are in our thoughts; praying for your safety in this terrible time..
Thinking about getting an Lectric XP 3.0 or Lite for camping.
So I'm pretty new to this e bike stuff but for example in the 1st one he showed, if there is no throttle, how do you engage the electric motor? I thought the point of this was to have a throttle and move the bike with the motor hence not needing to pedal?
He kept smacking that seat 😅 I'm like stoop it!! 😂
I would love to have the ruby you showed
Electric bikes are the future expeciall the cheap one
I clearly love the last velick T1
I have MS and no longer work. I can’t afford to keep a car on the road would an E bike be an option to get to the store and doctors appointments (all within 6 miles or so). If so what would you suggest?
The adventure 2 gets my vote. Hope I can trade my e -trike . I love it but want a bike for narrow trails.
I love the first
Beautiful bike
Nice video
