    Today we're sharing Count Almaviva's Act I cavatina, "Ecco, ridente in cielo" from Rossini's THE BARBER OF SEVILLE featuring tenor Santiago Ballerini. The COC Orchestra is conducted by Speranza Scappucci.

      I agree! Santiago has much more size, color and depth to his voice than Florez. Florez is boring. No doubt he has a great instrument, but it is limited in size and color.

      No compering Florez is a leggero, Ballerini sounds more like a true lyric tenor closer to the timbre of Pavarotti, he looks young, his voice is not completely matured yet, he's probably not even close to 40, judging by appearance I don't know his age.

      @@geekbaritone whether lyric or leggeros, one thing is sure. You can totally do leggero reportoire without a thin voice
