Beautiful aria from my favorite opera. Very nicely sung. Lining up nicely to follow in Diego Florez and Camarena's footsteps as they move on to weightier roles. The opera to this point is heavy on the comic and driven by the bet between the young men and the old cynic. This aria always struck me as the first point at which the later, much more bittersweet, emotions arise. Ferrando is presented as a real romantic, to which love is more then just a silly game. Its serious and he means it. Subsequent events have greater resonance after his deeper feelings are presented in this aria.
Appreciate a world tenor while he is at his best! You never know what can happen to a voice. Look ("listen") what happened to Rolando Villazon. What a shame.
Tu voz me recuerda en mucho a Francisco Araiza. No suenas como el típico “tenorino leggero” como Diego Flórez sino que tienes momentos líricos así que tienes campo en el repertorio Verdiano como Alfredo Germont (La Traviata) y por supuesto Rodolfo (La Boheme de Puccini).

Cuida tu instrumento y por favor, no aceptes ni caigas en la tentación de aceptar invitaciones a cantar repertorio que pueda acortar tu carrera. Sé sabio cómo Araiza y Pavarotti, que de hecho estudiaron obras pesadas pero no las interpretaron hasta que llegó el tiempo adecuado. Cuídate y éxito.
A Araiza.? Araiza tiene un timbre obscuro y utiliza la tecnica inalare di voce. El mas grande Tenor mozartiano y artista. Don Santiago Una voz inmascara con squillo. Mucho mas proxima al timbre y frrscura de Pavarotti. Belleza vocal y transmite. Hambos grandes en su linea. Solo es una humilde opinion y siempre con respeto... 😒
