  • In this Video we restore a old Nitro Rc Monster Truck a HPI Savage X 4.6.
We dissemble clean and rebuild ready for a bashing, not before un sizing the stuck nitro engine after been left sitting for years. After rebuilding we start up the engine for the first time and let rip bashing the truck around a field.

I have a "MINT" 2012 HPI SAVAGE. When I built it out of the box, I replaced the 4.6 Nitro and put in the HPI 5.9 Engine. It's NEVER been started or ran, I even have that exact same RADIO. It is literally still like BRAND NEW!

@@conceptBuilds honestly, my health is slowing down my hobbies. I still have a gallon of the racing fuel I purchased, sealed. (probably no good now)

I just bought 2 savage .25s from marketplace for $160 USD and got a bunch of spare parts and bodies with them. After some tinkering, then adding new flysky receivers, battery packs and 1 pull starter, they both run like new. One of them has functioning reverse, too! I'm into both of them for about $100 each in purchase price and parts. Hard to believe you can pick these up used for sub $100, especially considering $100 USD in Biden terms doesn't buy much of anything..

It dose help yeah, most times a squirt of wd40 with some big pliers gets the job done

First of all, go and get yourself some proper pliers! Needle nosed pliers are totally unsuitable for what you are trying to do! A small pair of chanel locks will work much better.
