    Everest 10 is a great platform beginner to advanced, you’re able to crawl right out of the box with great flex and if you know what you’re doing you can customize/mod it to become a beast!

    Thanks for the cool review. Thinking of ordering one for my son today. Something for him to play with during these stay at home orders. 😂

      It's the perfect crawler to start into the hobby with! Plenty of run time on the battery that comes with it also! Thanks for the compliment!

    Legit vid brother. Looking forward to the rest of your content. I have two of these and was wondering what could be done to them to get some extra fun out of them!

    Best investment I’ve made mine is bone stock 2 years old and no plans to mod works great as is if something fails then I’ll replace that part other than that it stays as is

      Right?!? That's my same opinion these are great just to play with and make your own youthful adventures... if you planning on competing on advance courses then spent that 800 on the advance models. Redcat has no issues for the average joe... perhaps not for the advance competition units

      I can't argue with that thought process at all. They are very dependable and a complete blast straight out of the box! At the same time they are easy to mod and hold up well with mods also. I would not be afraid to use one in either form. I actually thought about building a scaler out of one and I think they would be extremely cool like that also. Cheap and fun, that's why I like mine!

    If you swap the back alum links with a bent set like thats on the front it will help with steering with 4 wheel steering

    • @karlriester1647
      @karlriester1647  Před 3 lety

      That's a yes and no question. It will create clearance so the rear tires can turn all of the way to lock without rubbing those links. If you have wheel spacers it would not change anything. Are you currently having an issue with yours?

    I have one of these it is my first crawler ive put a 35 turn motor in it ,capra axels ,still on stock shocks with 2 coils cut off of the springs and i crawl with comp cralwers every weekend and i do pretty much everything they can do and i might have 400 bucks in my whole setup

    • @karlriester1647
      @karlriester1647  Před 4 měsíci

      These things are alot better than people give them credit for. Especially for the price point. Mine is still on stock electronics and motor (I oil it lightly with pb blaster if it starts to squel) and I am running 5.9 boggers for over 2 years. My 5 year old beats on it as well and it takes it. Goes almost anywhere too! To be honest, it is my most dependable rc. Pretty crazy for the small amount of money in it. I need to start making some more videos with it.

    I lowered and cut my body the 2nd day I had it lol (I don't like the monster truck look it had). I'm putting a 27t motor in it and then next ill do the 4 wheel steering. Might even change the shocks and mounting points to help with the torque tilt, but I might wait until something breaks.

      Extending the chassis/ upper shock mount points out makes this rig as stable as any full chassis rig. You can buy special extender or just make your own. Really suggest

    Would this be a decent entry level , will it need these mods ?

    • @karlriester1647
      @karlriester1647  Před 4 lety +2

      I think it's the perfect entry level rc crawler. Redcat Everest 10's actually do really good right out of the box. These mods help, but aren't a necessary to have fun. Every mod adds a little more capability to an already impressive platform.

    Wouldn’t a good servo saver help?

    • @karlriester1647
      @karlriester1647  Před 2 lety

      It probably would help extend the life, but when I installed the new servos the problem went away. The original servo was under powered compared to the new servo also. It changed the whole dynamic of the steering system, and is metal geared and water proof. It is a 20kg vs the original 15.
      One of the other 2 units I worked on has had to have the servo replaced also. I am sure the 3rd would have, but it doesn't get used very often. They just don't hold up the best. Servos aren't ridiculous if you get them off Amazon or eBay which is why it doesn't hurt my feelings. It actually is the only part besides the body that is on borrowed time right out of the box in my opinion.

    • @JoannaJedrzejczyksForehead
      @JoannaJedrzejczyksForehead Před 2 lety +1

      @@karlriester1647 yeah. Just installed 4 wheel steering in the E10’s I bought for my sons. If they kill the servos, I’ll throw in some cheap 25kg ones. They can be had for less than $20/pop.

    • @karlriester1647
      @karlriester1647  Před 4 lety

      I would have thought the diffs or transmission would have had issue's with brushless. Did it do okay? What kv motor did you run?

    • @goneviral6037
      @goneviral6037 Před 4 lety

      Karl Riester I only ran it for couple minutes, maybe 3 minutes at most, it was a 3660 kv I believe, it was quick but would roll over . Just did it more as a joke. I’m thinking of putting the shocks from my E10 on my traxxas slash, just to see what it does,

    • @karlriester1647
      @karlriester1647  Před 4 lety

      I put a set of longer shocks on my nephew's brushless slash and it helped it alot. We built a monster slash basically, way better in my opinion. Only problem was with drive shafts, we ended up with mips, but the front set broke on the second run. The suspension got pulled down on when he wrecked it off a jump and it bent one 90 degrees. We had to run a set of splined mip to stop that issue. It's pretty much a tank now!

    • @karlriester1647
      @karlriester1647  Před 2 lety +1

      In a way he is on the remote, but I have seen traxxas remotes take that fall and be ok. It has to do with the design I believe, but that could had been a fluke? The other 2 unit's remotes had the doors broken off by adults. With all that said I still would buy this thing again, and when I buy one for my son it will most likely be a red cat. It's affordable and dependable. I can't complain!
