- So, is the Redcat Racing Everest 10 waterproof?
If your looking for an affordable 4x4 waterproof RC crawler, we strongly suggest you give the Redcat Everest 10 a good long look.
Aside from the Everest 10's above average crawling capabilities, we have been very impressed with it's ability to slug through some pretty deep mud & water as well.
In the 150 price range, you will be hard pressed to find a hobby grade 1/10 scale crawler that can compete.

That truck reminded me of a big bass I caught...swam to the cattails and laid up..but we knew it still had alot of fight left(just like this truck!!!) Thanks again for helping me catch that big bass that day!!!!!!!!!!

The Everest 10 is just a great crawler & for the price you can't beat it.
Tune in tomorrow at 3. We are doing a steering servo upgrade on it & show how to do it.
I have a few upgrades in mind with the Everest & just gotta find the time. Lol.
Right out of the box this thing is an absolute blast.

How has it held up?
Chop off the nubs inside the steering knuckle arms, cut off every other lug on the inner and outer edges of the tires(the smaller ones), remove the foams from the tires and throw it away, swap motor for 35T!, and replace the diff locker with Redcat part #180009. Leave the shocks alone.the 1 spacer will help combat torque twist

Yeah, all that was done on my E10 as soon as it came out of the box! I bought it for the sole purpose of modding it. Parts are cheap if you want to increase durability from the get go, but not much is actually needed. The aluminum diff lockers were like $30 for the pair, the other stuff was free and literally takes a few minutes. Easy to work on while torn down for the diff replacement. The only other part I have replaced was the steering servo arm, with Redcat 11416? Exact same as stock but made of aluminish looking pot metal probably but works fine and has held up. I plan to purchase another in the near future!

Awesome advice Nadine! They are waterproof, but they are not submarines 😝 Anything you can do to dry them out after a bash is a good thing...Just don't put em' in the microwave! 😂Day after this bash, we got 8.5" of snow! Definitely some snow & ice bashing coming soon 😀

No doubt that is a great controller, but expensive! I want to stay around 50 or less for the remote. Will let you know what I find. If you get it done before me, let us know what you went with & how you like it? Would be much appreciated 😀

Easiest way to do 4ws is by adding the stock servo mount in the rear and using a Y cable and servo reverser. That will get you 4ws with the stock transmitter and will be the cheapest route. If you want the ability to switch between 2ws, 4ws and crab you will need another radio system. Maybe a Flysky gt3c would do?

ive submerged mine in a creek and had no problems except i forget to seal my tires and there full of water

How fast does it go stock
The Everest does around 10 mph.
It is a crawler RC & not meant for speed.
It is an excellent crawler for the money :)

Lmao!!! Is it waterproof? Doesn't need to be, it floats! Lol Little airier tires or another set would probably keep the electronics above water. Great video, thank you for dunking yours, I've been leary about doing it but this is reassuring! :)

As I said, it is not a submarine & not meant for continuous submersion.
It IS waterproof for it's intended use. You seen it underwater & running afterword'.
This Everest 10 has seen more snow, mud & water than most ever will & it's still running strong.
It's as waterproof as an RC can get :)

However, the Everest 10 in this video is still bashing as well as it did on the day we got it & it has definitely been bashed to the extreme 😜
