    I was expecting the notion of meaning to come up in this discussion, as in one's life has meaning to the extent one finds meaning...also the notion of mission. I agree that life is essentially purposeless, yet I think each individual can "be on a mission" (good or bad), which ties into meaningfulness. Would be interested in your observations. By the way, I just learned of "AA," and this was my first time listening in. Good stuff.

    Novelty and Variety can take place within the mundane and routine. Each moment is in fact new, novel and varied.

      Yes this is true. Yet, it’s precisely because we are unable to see this that we go in search of artificial newness and superficial novelty. Further obscuring the inherent uniqueness of each moment…
