    For those confused. SOH CAH TOA.
    From the first example sin(45)=8/travel (Hypotenuse =travel) thus travel= 8/sin(45). look carefully you'll see 1/sin(45) =1.414 thus 8x 1/sin(45) = travel or hypotenuse

    Once you got the travel,knock the centre of the 45, 4' , 2 ,1 1/2 + 2+1/2= 21/2 is the centre of a 4" 2 45s = 2 1/2 +21/2=5'"off the travel

    sir your set and run explanation using the set number 9239x 20 its not complete where did you get that number without explain to the viewers 1.414 understood but some other number that you use to multiply the set , run,travel you have to explain to the viewers thank you

    FORMULA FOR 45 DEG
    set x 1.414 = travel FOR 45 DEG
    run x 1.414 = travel FOR 45 DEG
    if the given is travel the formula is
    TRAVEL X .707 = SET OR RUN FOR 45 DEG
    ---------------------------------------
    FORMULA FOR 22.5 DEG
    if not 45 deg but 22.5 deg
    the formula is 2.613 for run and 1.082 for set
    TO COMPUTE TRAVEL
    RUN X 2.613 = TRAVEL FOR 22.5 DEG
    SET X 1.082 = TRAVEL FOR 22.5 DEG
    if the given is travel the formula is
    travel x .2826 = run
    travel x .9239 = set
    -----------------------------------------------
    FORMULA FOR 30 DEG
    SET X 1.154 = TRAVEL FOR 30DEG
    RUN X 2 = TRAVEL FOR 30DEG
    if the given is travel the formula is
    TRAVEL X .500 = RUN FOR 30DEG
    TRAVEL X .886 = SET FOR 30DEG
    -----------------------------------------------
    FORMULA FOR 60 DEG
    RUN X 1.154 = TRAVEL FOR 60DEG

      For the 22.5DEG for calculation of the RUN you have 0.2826 and the correct factor is 0.3826

      Please, explain us do you use some table with koeficient or what else?
      for example, which number for run or set is for 73 degrees?

    Sir madali nmn sana maintindihan kung ipinaliwanag nyo kung paano kayo nag arrive sa mga binigay ninyong constant multipliers. para kahit anong angle ang ibigay madaling makukuha ang value ng set, travel, at run. kung ang ipinaliwanag ninyo ung computation ng constant.

    you should explain how you get 1.154, 2.613, 1.414 and so forth. Dont assume that we know those numbers. It will be very helpfull if you show us how to get these numbers.

    sine of 45° = .707 cosecant of 45° = 1.414 just look into a trigonometry table

      90 DEG ELLBOW AND 45 DEG ARE THE ONLY ONES USED IN THE FIELD. THIS IS FOR 45 DEG OFFSET SITUATION.

      Randy Gunter The .707 is half of 1.414. The only time you use that is to find the run ,or set. It's just a reverse method. But most of the time we just find the travel..Plus as you know we must take out for fittings...

    degrees represent angle and run , set, travel represent side so you're looking for TRAVEL ?
    why don't you use SINE law or PYTHAGOREAN formula for finding TRAVEL.
    PYTHAGOREAN formula
    TRAVEL = square root of a squared + b squared
    SIN A = a/c
    SIN 45 degrees = run/travel
    TRAVEL = RUN/SIN 45 degrees
