    I would also recommend having an updated LinkedIn profile and extend your network there to everyone you know in Sweden.

    First i must say that its probably easyer for native English speaker with a university degree to get a jobb in Sweden then from most other countrys? If one have English as a second language and is fluent on that with a university degree, thats altso kinda esyer.
    For those without universety degree, there is always "Arbetsförmedlingen", the employment agency, they supose to help you out, whatever, and its free!

    Because there you can read about thousands of job in any language

    You have made some good first hand advice to get prepared and be registered to live and work in Sweden. Your brief advice and insightful knowledge are very helpful (to an immigrant applicant), at getting a job interview and landing a job here in Sweden. If you get a chance (next time), spell out the name of the online software or product that you like to use with a brief description link to read it below. 🤣Lol's, I liked your little bit of your brief "New Jerseryian" dialect voice accent.

    Haha! Alla ägg i en korg! We have the exact same expression in Swedish!
    A very old piece of advice is that the Resumé should never be more than one A4 paper in Sweden. Not sure to what extent this still applies though.

    Do you know, then, if it's possible to work for a Swedish company remotely without the person number, or is that needed either way? I'm guessing you have to have the number in order to get the bank account, so I'm guessing you've got to have the number for deposit. And, does native English speaking make you stand out? ...or are many such applicants out there competing for the few jobs where that's a meaningful skill?

    • @PoisonelleMisty4311
      @PoisonelleMisty4311 Před 4 měsíci

      Yes, it is possible to work for a Swedish company remotely without a Swedish personal number. However, having a Swedish personal number makes certain administrative procedures, such as opening a bank account, easier. The personal number is a unique identification number used in Sweden for various purposes, including tax and social security registration.
      When it comes to native English-speaking ability, it depends on the specific job and industry. While English fluency is generally valued in Sweden, as many Swedes are proficient in English, it may not always be a unique selling point, especially for roles that require Swedish language skills or if there is a high number of native English speakers applying. However, it can still be beneficial for international companies operating in Sweden or roles focused on international markets.
      In highly competitive fields or for positions requiring specific language skills, there might be more applicants with English fluency. In such cases, it is important to highlight other relevant skills, experiences, or qualifications to differentiate yourself from the competition.
      Ultimately, it's important to research the specific job market and industry you are interested in to determine the level of demand for native English speakers and how you can effectively leverage your language skills to stand out. Networking, building connections, and showcasing your expertise and cultural understanding can also be valuable in the job search process.
