I love Andrew's car,it's a simple build that takes care of business!! đFacts...đŻđ„
Iâm pretty sure that Andrewâs car has a 175 shot. đŠ
I'm happy with the on3 turbo kit. I bought mine back in 2011 and it's still going strong.
Just finishing up my 93 vert build. Trickflow upper and lower, B cam, ported GTp, upgraded valve springs, 4.56 gears.
Preach!!!!!!!! However, heres my spin on it budget style. Stock ported and polished upper and lower intake. B- Cam, underdrive pulleys, 355-373 gears, stock ported and polished heads, titanium valve springs, roller rockers, rear seat delete, 255 LPH Walbro fuel pump, B&M adjustable fuel pressure regulator, H-Pipe with either shorty or long tube headers. Thats a 12.7-12.90 car with a good driver. Thats quick
Ive personally gone 12.7 with stock throttle body to pan engine, shorty headers x pipe, bbk cai, 5 speed car 28" slicks and 4.30 gears with some minor weight reduction in a coupe.
@@GroverBoysRacing777AdamGrover thats one hell of a set up. And u were rocking 4:30 gear?????? WOW i run 355's-373's these days cause im old. But 4.10 was the extreme gear. Lol, never been in a fox with 4.30's. Kinda would like to see whats all about. đ
@@RPJs-Cuisine 4.30s on a 28" tire is about like a 3.90 on a 26. I played alot with gear calculators and the 4.30s i had came across or were given to me and the car loved it.
@@RPJs-Cuisine you gotta consider tire height stock height is 26ish hes running 28 so 4.30 with that isn't the same as 4.30 with a 26.
Call me old school but a carburetor and a nitrous plate canât go wrong it works.
Iâm pretty positive thatâs gonna be my next move!! đđđ

All motor right now. Lots of tricks in it. Nos coming down the road.
Great video thanks BREW2Lđđ»
My 93 LX I just put together with a GTP's, B cam and Explorer intake. Found good deals on the stuff and trying to have a car the way I remember them from my high school days in the mid-late 90s.
This was a perfect video! Thank you for taking the time to make it! Would love to consult with you in the future on my '87 vert.
Great info brother! Thanks for making an awesome video! đđ»
That is the best thing about these cars. Simple mods and they are fun and fast. Great topic man!
Giving people some good info, great video for people looking to do a nice budget build for some good power for the money. Great video as always
Love these kind of videos!
Awesome vid bro! Love the knowledge shared!
Great video man I needed this, also hearing you cuss made me smile, seeing your reaction to you cussing made me laugh. Great video I love seeing these!
Good advice. Iâm on the other end with a TT Dart 347 but took me a long time to get here. I still remember when I opened up the box for my A-trim HO kit back in â96 like a lil kid in a candy store. Slapped that on my old â87 LX T-top hatch, gears, GT-40 al heads and intake, F cam, full exhaust⊠man those were the days. I did it a lil bit at a time but the car was a beast. Fox body fun never ends.
Nice realistic advice! I love the consistency with the good content on this channel. Can you get some RC car/truck content???
Probably the most truthful video about building a fox. Sooooooo many options to make your car fast and make it fast for cheap! Great job my friend!
I had a 85 Mustang 5.0 EFI. It was the low horse power 165, although it said high output. I bought it in early 86 and got a seal of a deal. The dealership had it as a demo car. Itâs was loaded and it was pretty quick. By the early 90s it couldnât keep up. It developed a rod knock so I took it to a shop to have it repaired so I could sell it. The mechanic said he could fix it, but it would be cheaper to swap the engine with a totaled mountaineer he had. So I told him to do the swap. It was like a totally new car. It would scream! I kept the car for a total of 15 years. I sold it to a friend who was tired of me outrunning his 88 Mustang. Best I remember it had P40 heads. Iâm fixing up an 87â GT convertible for my son right now. No plans to make it faster than it already is.
Brew21 I am new to the Fox body I was lucky to get one as a gift from a family member and your video are very inspiring to me I like this video because it can help me with the different types of low budget up grades I can do for my Fox body so thank you for making videos like this
Good shit! Great video
Great information! I just did some head home rebuild/porting and a used cam on my budget Fox (lipstick on a pig). Ford Muscle did an article on head flow (Head to Head) that included GT40P, E7, and C6 (289) heads.
I'm a fan of Andrews car myself. Old school combo, clean, affordable, simple, and can still get the job done.
Great info! Thankyou đđ»
Maybe in the future you can do a video on all the other ways of making a fox body fast like switching to an aluminum driveshaft and aluminum flex plate. Anything that lightens the rotating assembly even titanium lug nuts will register on the butt dyno. Another great video BREW2L!
generally speaking, a lighter flywheel has less rotating mass at a dead stop at idle speed, so you'll need to goose the throttle more than usual. Lightening up the rest of the car may have more benefit since it shows up in handling and braking while a light flywheel is closer to the car's center of gravity so less leverage is being applied. and of course, Ford changed its low deck flywheel weight from 28 to 50 oz so keep in mind what effect there may be on a particular crankshaft.
Thank you so much for answering this question.
Great video, really helpful
Awesome video!
Damn dude love the cars. All of them are awesome. I really like the red and gray with the mesh wheels.
Great Informative Video!!
well Iv always wanted an old model can and saw your channel here and I just fell in love with yals Beautiful cars and the power they hold so im now look to get me motor and a Fox baby Mustang Thanks to your vids.
Always fun to talk about different builds. I'm old school... Give me that nitrous & some gear! Awesome video BREW2L đ
I just ordered the on3 Turbo kit for my new project car !!
Youâll love it đđ
I went with the twins kit just to be different. My setup should make a lot more than enough to split the block. I have 11R heads, Custom Comp cam, Box R intake, and a fresh rebuilt SBE 302.
When you get turbo kit how low to the ground does it get?
OMG them seats in da red car ...yessss good move the black matches sooo good too!!!!
My car is old school for sure. 3 bar GT40 heads, Explorer intake, E cam, shorties, no cat h-pipe, MAC chambered mufflers and 3.73s. Still running 19's but SCT tuned. May eventually consider a blower setup, but that's after a Maximum Motorsports suspension redo, interior freshening and wheel/tire upgrade.
19s?

Brother, you have a great channel!!! I am a GM man through and through but I love to hear you talk about the Fox body mustangs and their capabilities. Keep on doing your thing!! Always greatly appreciated info n for that I thank you sir!!! Poche Benavides from Laredo, TX!!! âźïž
Back in the day when I was a broke youngâin living on pb&j and bologna sammages so I could buy parts to go racing. Sticky set of mickies, heads cam intake all bolt ons I could get and the love jug of go fast in the hatch. Had so much fun with that car it seemed like it would hook in the grass.
About 4 hours at the junk yard and $168. I walked away with gt40 heads and explorer intake for my 93 Thunderturd...worth it for sure
Nitrous is where it was, is, and will always be! Throttle in a bottle baby
My last foxbody was going to be a gt40p setup with ported heads and an f cam. Got the cam used for $60 got the heads and intake out the junkyard $26 for the intake and $80 for the heads. Bought a set of springs and had a valve job done which was another $350 I did the porting myself. Before I got it put together a guy traded a guy traded me some windsor sr iron heads and a performer intake. Already had the 70mm tb, f-cam, bbk shorty headers, and some 1.6 roller rockers. Not sure how much hp it made but for such a big head it ran really good. That setup with a 3.73 and stock t-5 on a street tire ran 12.80âs. Never got to run it at the track on nitrous but on 100 shot it was a handful on the streets. Goal to start with was to run 11.5 which on the bottle with a good tire Iâm pretty sure it would have. Lot cheaper and easier to work on compared to the 3v I have now. Trying to do the same with it 11.5 on the bottle but I can tell you Iâve spent a lot more on this 3v to get there than I did with my foxbody
Awesome video! I have my fairmont set up exactly like your budget build with the gt40 lightning 3bars and bolt ons except with a dual plane and BG575 carb. plate kit with dedicated fuel system. It does 8.40s on the street on motor with a 1.9x 60â. With the 100shot it did 7.94 with a modest 1.74 60â on the street. 3.73 gear is holding me back the most but I like to take the interstate. Almost any fox can be an awesome hot rod for not a lotta money.
Love the channel
I excited to see the terminator x install. Even if you have a bone stock car , to have a modern controls and new wiring is worth the money .
I gotta 86 Fox body mustang witha built carb 351w, 410 gears , M23 transmission,it makes 600whp without boost
I love a 302 with a b or e cam gt40p heads and an explorer intake. That setup is tried and true.
270 horsepower cars are boring.
â@brettfrimmer6567 You've never driven one of these if that's what you think. Or just sit and watch 1000hp builds on CZcams thinking that's what you have to have to have a fun car
What diff gears has Andrew got ?
Love his car and set up need to see
more videos on it , love the channel watching from Australia
Hiya brew2l. Howâs it going today? I always love the budget advice!
I have 95 gt mustang, what type cam you recommend for that strong muscle car sound that will turn heads
I want to have LMR boxes all over my garage too, LOL!
Iâve also heard the the d0oe heads with some port work will surprise ya.
Every one in the early 90s had the cowl hood on their fox bodies and never painted them đđđ SMH... I'm GUILTY myself đđđ it is what it is đđđ

Brew been following you for a while keep up great info whats the best full gasket kit for a boosted sbf?
Got my Canfield 192cc complete with rockers used for $600. Lower is a ported Explorer and upper is off a 93 Lighting.
How does/did Papa Tâs supercharged fox do in this southern heat ?
Ex..driving on a trip to Panama or cruising the strip? Or is an inner cooler a must with 5-7psi
Brew2L buy your self a reflex gasket for your headers they are thick and squish down very nicely you can put on a very bad warped header and that gasket will seal it up beautifully I have a set on my 95 turbo Mustang and had no problem whatsoever with burning up the gasket
I'm building a extreme budget sbf stock engine ported e7 heads, ported stock 4barrel except good springs, pushrods, blow thru carb with a 7.3ps turbo and a good fuel system. Also Neomustang made 500whp with a stock sbf and a turbo Also Adam Grover is in the 9s with ported e7 heads a aluminum intake and carb and a cam with nitrous and a t5.
My buddy on fb just showed me this comment haha was pretty awesome. Thanks for the shoutout!

@@unclemonster48 there it is! It was a beast.
I wouldn't recommend splicing together a nitrous setup unless you know how it works. For example, most power adders want the stock 88lph fuel pump to get replaced with a bigger unit to provide a buffer to leaning out the engine, and the 19lb injectors may want an upgrade since they're probably old and dirty and need some attention anyway. it also helps to know what year came with forged pistons and hypertectic. Gears, good sticky tires and learning what RPM to launch at can really help before the power adder.
I agree about skipping the old tall deck Windsor heads, newer 351W heads have extra coolant flow around the exhaust port designed in. you're totally right about the cam, get the engine to breathe in and out first and swap roller rocker arms with an increased ratio (like ford did on the cobra)
Hey friend, I recently bought a 1990 GT 5 speed with a lot of electronics problems but it has a really solid engine and trans, just has a bad wiring job from the previous owner. I was wondering if you could make some videos on diagnosing common problems with the gauge cluster, certain accessories etc, I've learned a lot from your channel already and videos on those problems would help me and many others out a lot.
I'm 19 and my first car was a 98 V6 5 speed I got about a year ago but I always wanted a fox 5.0 and finally got one but I have almost no experience with electrical wiring so some things have been frustrating to try and troubleshoot.
Just seen a foxbody mustang in a field stripped clean vin and all looks like it was just put there right off the side of the hwy FL.
quick question...is there a way to see if your getting power to the fuel pump without taking the tank down?...Great videos..ALWAYS!!
Hey Brew2l, i have an explorer 5.0 with gt40p heads and the normal intake and lower intake. I want to do an E303 cam and longtubes. What do you think I should expect in terms of power and do you think that setup would âworkâ?
LMR just brought the SVE heads back which is pretty awesome. And have 185cc heads now. Very reasonably priced considering most heads are $2500-$3000 now.
I love my Vortech v3/331 combo
Stock Block
331 stroker
TrickFlow H/C/I
60# injectors
MSPNP2 ECU
455LPH fuel pump
LTH
Vortech V3 on 20psi
93 Pump gas
484whp on 6psi now itâs on 20psi
They can definitely be competitive. My 94 cobra gt40x heads w/fbo and no pulleys (besides alternator and water pump) with no interior and a decent suspension has pulled tires and ran comperable times to a helcat. And has demolished srt 392s as well as modern mustangs and camaros
Back in the day my combo was this, and I was broke-
GT40 heads (off a '93 cobra)
24lbs injectors
1.6 rockers
F cam
75mm mass air
65mm throttle body
GT40 tubular intake
Shorty headers
Off road h pipe
Flow masters (of course)
373 gears
Southside machine "lift bars"
I took the car to the track once. It went 12.7 or 12.8 can't remember for sure and I think 105mph. Full weight.
Nice fun ND money saved
I have some GT40pâs on my bench that Iâm slowly porting on the exhaust side. Iâm leaning towards at N41 cam, but have a used E cam in the garage too.
Which is better, the Cobra intake from the 93-95 Cobras or the Explorers GT40 intake? I'm not looking to do anything crazy with my daily summer driver. GT intake, GT40 heads, not the Ps and a B cam. That Anderson B21 sounds so sexy
MAN!!! I want that red GT sooo bad!!!
iâm trying to diag my dads 66mustang with an 89 5.0 in it. it surges bad at idle the tps is at .975ish volts iac is working and it is quite hesitant when giving it throttle from idle but it is fine up top also gets a check engine light when reving anything would help
Why donât you have that one header flange sanded to make flat and true so it seals 100%
Hey bud. Any chance I can get info on where you bought that Tuxedo Car Lift?
Your honest opinion I bought eldbrock rpm2 intake I'm gonna get aluminum after market heads witch ones an cam would you do if was your car
Best way to make power with a 302 is to pull it out and put a Windsor in it ...then put some 4v Cleveland cc heads on it to make a clevor...easy 500-600hp flow potential on stock Cleveland 4v heads.
with the e or b cam with an aod trans what stall would you recommend with either cam ? thanks . i got a 302 out of a 92 fox body with the aod trans and im building the motor with flat top's and afr 185's and it's all going in my 03 ranger .
What's your opinion on I beam vs H beam stroker kits and 331 vs 347 mainly for a street car. planning on going stroker since the original engine has 235k on it and the AFR 185 heads I bought should cause pvc with anything other than a small cam.
with a stock block it really doesn't matter, but rule of thumb for budget off the shelf stuff power adder H beam, N.A I beam since you can get them much lighter.
Some aluminum China heads, cam, intake, exhaust!
I have question on your shop. Size. But more so what are the spans between your vertical poats. Like the viedeos an information.

đ€ Important question is if switching to aluminum heads where stock 302 HO forged Pistons from 1987' are being used (smaller valve reliefs) and 2.02/1.60 heads with E-cam is the cam of choice what are the worries? I haven't clay checked mine yet... I found some aluminum Liberty heads and just lil worried far as Clearences are concerned? đ€
I miss mine so bad like I had a 91 notch and it was 302 with trick flow heads and intake and cam and I put a 100 shot on in with long tube headers with straight pipes and I had so much fun tell some one stole it and never found it and I would love too find another hatch I donât care if itâs 84 too 91 I donât mind the four piece head lights but I would like too find another mustang I have the on three turbo kit witch I might sell if I Cannt find another mustang but the kits been in my basement for about four years now but love your videos
Hey Buddy..I feel for your situation. I might sell a Mustang. Do you prefer a Hatchback or Convertible. I have both but am not 100% on which I would actually sellđŠđđȘđđ
Any ideas what you might be looking for Buddy
I want a duel carb set up for my fox...how often do you see that.
If you had out ran Andrew's car yet then something is wrong with your combo you might want to check your turbo piping and intercooler for leaks they make a tool for checking piping on diesel motors see if it hold pressure and drops off over a few minutes
Out the factory These cars weight 1000 pounds lighter then most cars on the streets today
A striped notch back 5 speed v8 which is the lightest v8 available in those days is prob just over 3100 lbs. A new base model gt with a manual is prob 3700 or less. So mustang to mustang you're looking at about 600 lbs....maybe 700 tops but I'm leaning more toward 600 base vs base. It is 1000+ less than a new gt500 and more than that less than the dodge muscle but the new camaro is similar weight to the mustang. Don't get me wrong fox are light and awesome but they aren't 1000 lbs lighter mustang vs mustang same trim.
*edit*
Read your post again it says most cars which is kinda true concerning new cars so I degrees. Lol
