@@innerchild1484 if they do they date secretly until their company allows them or they feel like they are ready to reveal to the public. Some couples like jennie and kai had to break up because jennie isn't allowed to date. Hyuna and dawn dated for around more than 2 years before they shared it to the public.

So what if a stylist (who for argument's sake is famous/respectable) but their vision of style for an idol doesn't get a good reception with the fans. Like, does it matter how the fans react to outfits in the company's decision to keeping a stylist or do they stick with famous stylist/ style concept for the idol?
im curious like basic style like regular would they accept like zara , hm or carhartt nike adidas those simple not expensive brand would they wear it so the fans could follow their fashion too hope u understand what i mean

On got real podcast, ashley choi, revealed that there was a trainee who was younger than her and stole from her, well rather took her accessories without asking for permission and put them back where she took it from after a few days or something. You can search it on yt.

it's mostly just to monitor, make sure they don't mistakenly spoil or say something stupid. also be there for any technical difficulties that may happen.

While live they always make signs to the idols "to switch places", "to stop talking about a problematic member" , "to not say something that could be scandalous" " to do this", "to do that" etc.

If you watch sixteen you will see that jeongyeon just has a super different style. Super girly and feminine outfits dont suit her that well and she doesnt feel comfortable in them. If she had a problem with the clothes, they would change

What happens if a stylist messes something up (gets wrong clothes, accidentally gets clothes dirty, accidentally rips clothes, etc)? What do they make the idol wear? And does the stylist get fired? If they do, what if the company really liked their style, do they still get fired?
I dont think she'll know that one. Just think of it as u messing up in your job, will u get fired or nah?

Can you do an IDOL INSIDER on how kpop stars whiten their skin?? Cause some idols in their child and pre-debut photos are brownish / Tan but now they are extremely white.
You forgot to answer in your video, where do Stylist get there clothes from? What is the supplier? I am really interested. Thanks
stylest get a budget and they buy the clothes from any place that could be really cheap stores or fancy stores like Gucci and Channel. Sometimes let the idols borrow their own clothes. I am assuming they buy things way before any special events and that they have closets where they store all clothes from all the members from different to the same group so they can reuse them. Stylest also rent clothes that they will wear only one time to save money, they usually do this with expensive clothes. and that's where they get most clothes from. (I am not a stylist I just gave a reasonable guess ☺️)
With regards to the same outfits of the idols I think it's because some outfits are borrowed from other stylists.
-Izabel - but also sponsors and there is store where you can use the clothes for awhile and return it

When groups wear outfits from haute couture brands for award show performances, or award shows in general, do the stylists borrow the outfits from the brands or have them gifted? Because often award show outfits are fancier/more intricate and less suited for the group's regular promotions/activities, so it doesn't seem practical to buy the outfits when they can't be used for that as well.
I have always wanted to know if they keep the clothes or not😂
I've just started studying fashion design and I hope in the future I can work for these idols and give them actually decent outfits

This is really informative, I have always been super interested in stylists. Quick question; how would it work if an idol has a preference in terms of dressing. For example an idol is not comfortable showing a lot of skin, would they ask the company to inform the stylish about this or would the idol just have to suck it up?
i feel like with Korean's collectivist culture they don't wanna make a fuss, most likely they would just tolerate it even if they arent comfortable.
I think it definitely depends on the idols and their relationship with the management...for example Chorong, the leader of Apink, basically pretended for years to be really conservative in terms of clothing/skin showing, but it's totally obvious in hindsight that she was protecting the maknae Hayoung while she was underage, because right after Hayoung turned 20 in Korean age Chorong started doing sexy solo stages at concerts lmaoooo. It definitely helps that Apink had a very cute image, but that's not necessarily ever stopped companies from having idols wear shorter/more revealing clothing.

Casual throwback to that one time SNSD's stylist publicly talked about who she did and didn't enjoy styling. She literally called Sooyoung her muse (and that she also enjoys styling Tiffany and Seohyun) and Hyoyeon a challenge because she wanted to dress more femininely (before eventually giving up).

This iffy situation you speak of... Is it too much of a leap to assume that stylists don't take kindly to being criticised? Like... Do they get offended easily if idols themselves raise an issue?
I'm only bringing this up in reference to Irene, of course, because that was a messy situation. I think Irene's side of the story was omitted; like, she didn't even get an opportunity to say whether or not the confrontation was as dramatic as the stylist portrayed it. And that's what's bothered me about it since the story broke - Irene was never allowed an avenue to speak about her side of the interaction while the stylist was not only given an ample opportunity to speak, but overwhelming support that Irene pretty obviously didn't, and continues to take the massive amounts of hate to this day without defending herself.
We also don't know what the confrontation was about at all, because the stylist only ever discussed how she felt at that situation and, as mentioned before, Irene didn't defend herself at all. So the public has been (unfairly, in my opinion) overwhelmingly siding with the stylist because Irene out of respect just never put forward her side.
I would love to hear your input on this...

I’ve always wanted to know how many sets of outfits do you have for concerts, cause like when you have a 2-3 concert how do they get washed or dry cleaned overnight? Hey! I don't have instagram so I'm really hoping you notice my question😅 how do idols manage dark knees and elbows, I know that koreans are naturally pale but do they just put make up or is it really natural?
That's what I wonder too! I'm pretty sure they use some cream on their dark spots after shower cuz that's what I did.
koreans aren't naturely pale, they bleach their skin, especially idols (just compare anyone predebut and postdebut photos)
@@schmeterling though I believe some idols did that, but us asians, we just turns fairer when we grow older (idek why lol). Maybe bcs when we are older, we put a lot of effort for our skins so we become less sunburn, and our complexion become brighter etc. I believe that is what happened to most idols and I am pretty sure all the times they are on stage, all of it are thanks to lightning, whitewashing and foundation.

@@schmeterling not really lol bleaching is like dangerous and unhealthy. It is a cheaper option to get fairer but people usually just do whitening serum injection here which of course more expensive. But still, if you saw an idol getting fairer compare to predebut, it doesnt necessarily bleaching or those whitening injection thingy. Because asians are just naturally like that. We just turn fairer complexion when we grow up so for me, it is not shocking seeing them fairer after debut.

This is usually a marketing strategy from the company, they do it to create a scandal and get publicity and attention to the group, specially if they are in danger of disbanding

They are the biggest group right now, so I believe the stylist buy the pieces specifically for them. Also, I have no proof nor doubts about them having a saying in what they want.

Also. Can you please explain what’s to be expected as a trainee. I’ve of course seen many videos of people explaining the schedules but the day to day was what I really wanted to know
Since korea is known to have such a large variety of skincare products the make up stylists usually recommend products to idols since they're always working on their skin... There are dermatologists as well who usually help the idols with the products to use whenever the idols go for their check ups
