    Ranar is also less of a removal magnet than Brago. There's an argument that Ranar is the more consistent blink commander, providing value without having to attack.

    I took Ranar and the Millicent precon and turned it into spirit Tribal with all the good Foretell cards and exile cards with Blink effects.

    I hope we get more fortell cards soon. It feels a shame that even "the" foretell commander is leaning away from foretell. I like foretell a lot and would love see more play choices of signet or fortell T2.

    Something fun to look at is Mirrorweave! Take a bunch of 1/1s make them into the heaviest hitting creature on the board, swing out for a crazy turn. Also, pretty inexpensive, and manawise not too bad. Also can be used defensively.

    I love that you removed Sun Titan.

    I upgraded this deck big time on release, and he’s my favorite commander now. I’m glad to see him get a bit of love, some of your recommendations are definitely worth considering.

    I made my Ranar build with a focus on Polymorphing the spirits and winning via blinky value/combo... It's like a Poly-Kykar deck decided that Red was forbidden for some reason, and leaned on a Brago deck for emotional support.

    I feel like this guy got so overshadowed by Lathril and I love this deck

    The Crimson Vow Spirits deck also had Storm of Souls which is good in a blink deck. You get all their ETBs again and if you blink them again they stop being 1/1s.

    Ranar is one of my strongest deck, but because I chose to upgrade it as an azorius control/flicker deck, it has a balance between foretell, flicker, tribal support and all the azorius shenanigans.

    Foretelling potential futures is very flavorful, great work! Love this series.

    One of my playgroup has a version of this and I sent this video to him right away to see if this sparks his imagination for any additions. I also lent him a Bident of Thassa and he keeps beating me with it.....

    You have inspired me to revisit Ranar; this will definitely help me focus the deck a bit more.

    Whoa! Started brewing Ranar yesterday then this came out today! Perfect timing!

    I just switched my Ranar deck over to Millicent and dropped the foretell and blink sub themes and decided to go full on spirit tribal instead. Since, like you said, the deck felt divided and that it was going in too many directions with a mix of spirits, foretell and blink all competing for slots in the deck

    Nice vid! A fun inclusion I’ve included in my Ranar deck is Faerie Artisans, which generates etb value from your opponents creatures and exiles its own tokens which Ranar replaces with 1/1s so potential upside of multiple 1/1s each turn cycle. This multiplies with anointed procession if you lean towards token payoffs.

    @Fastman4000 Před 2 lety +4

    I personally made mine focusing on tokens, since I already had a blink deck, and it works great. The foretell aspect is really fun. Your main focus is to go wide, but you also have the added value from the foretell cards
