Had leveled up too high to choose any perks to help get me in, couldn’t up my charisma for Child at Heart, hadn’t invested in speech (I was a dumb 10 year old) and I was prevented from finishing on that character for a year, till my grandma bought me the Broken Steel/Pitt combo. Such wholesome memories, even if it was catastrophic at the time 🤣
the idea that this is the same maccready as fo4's is really funny to me because fo4 maccready doesnt swear at all if i remember correctly yet the kid here drops an f bomb as soon as you meet him, which means that at some point he just dropped swearing all together for some reason edit: :(

By cracking 4th grader levels of jokes at McCready, he thinks you're cool and is almost immediately swayed, as a ten year old might be by someone who surprises him and surpasses what little expectations he has. It's pretty good writing and a cool concept, a child collective in a cavern, safe from the wasteland, in a place that normally would scare them that they've turned into a guarded community with rules and regulations. Maybe you're just garbage at interpretation.
