They missed an opportunity here. Fawkes going into the chamber instead of you doesn't make your character any less of a hero, but it does make Fawkes one of the most important and heroic people in the Capital Wasteland. It would have been cool of the game to make note of the fact that it was a super mutant that saved the Capital Wasteland. It's like, heroic irony.
Narrator says The Lone Wanderer refused to sacrifice himself after his father... So you're saying I should go into that highly radioactive room to start the purifier but as a result of that I die, instead of asking my friend who's immune to radiation to do it, and as a result of that, everyone continues to live their life...
They make it sound so bad for making the smart decision of having Fawks do it. When she does it no one has to die... I don't get why they make that sound like the wrong choice.
i really wish Colonel Autumn showed up again in 4 leading remnants to rebuild instead of the Minutemen since he wasn't your typical Enclave leader he actually didn't want to genocide he just wanted to rebuild
And so, the child purchased the broken steel add on to save themselves the unsatisfactory ending, and sent in A TRUE HERO, They then took a sip from their trusty vault 13 canteen.
Sending Fawkes in there might not have been uber "selfless" but it's without a doubt the most intelligent decision
Sacrifice is virtuous but needless sacrifice is foolish

Lol, I love how the writers still bust your balls for making the logical desistion to have the guy who is immune to radiation turn on the purifier.
this video is 5 years old and people are still commenting
Fawkes talks as if hes emotionally unstable.
it would be so funny if fawkes forgets the code lol
I never think to get fawkes, well at least I was called as a true hero.
And so the couriers who cheated death in a cemetery outside Goodsprings cheated death once again, and the Mojave wasteland was changed forever.
I love how fawks kicks the machine.
Lone Wanderer:
Well fuck that, Fawkes refused to do it when i played it.
The heat in the mojave dessert will make you wish for a .... shit wrong game
I felt like an ass making Fawkes go in there, but it made the most sense, considering he's immune to the radiation.
Why do they make it sound like a bad thing to have Fawkes go through? This way everyone lives, sounds all gravy to me.
