Thanks for sharing! Unfortunately they don't ship to Brazil. The bait got so many details, you are a true master artisan at this point. I hope i get as good as you someday. Best wishes.
another awesome vid! must say, you have been a big inspiration for me to start making my own lures. my problem have always been that i thought i needed balsa or some other type of wood, but you videos working with pine bark just made it klick for me and now ive made a couple of baits and am always thinking about new ideas and colorations.
Almost seems so small that just embossing the fin details or scribing them would have been enough. Amazing work as usual Mikko. Inspirational as always.
I think the pot belly idea is really good in the sense, that you can make the tail quite a bit thinner, and thus more flexible, without making the body too flimsy or it looking disproportionate. I think I'll try this also, once I start with some soft plastics too!
Ive seen this vid a few times now, but today was the first time I actually realised you had edited in some guy pissing in the background. Thought it was an ocean sound at first, but then i realised that my pants got wet. Thanks for that lol. great vid as always, looking forward to see your 2-part resin bait you have teased us with in instagram
Ham hands. I got em too. And hereditary tremors, so my hands and arms move when i don't ask them to. I fight this to make things out of hologram duct tape, twisted wire and treble hooks but I do okay making my Minions line for Here, Fishy Baits. Tape and wire and gorilla glue are very forgiving. I love your imagination and taste in music. Thanks for sharing. I have not poured a bait yet but when I get started it will be great fun to fish with soft plastics made by me.
Good editing video production process, How you managed to carve those gill plates with that razor knife and not gash your finger open, like your technology
Some great perch, what they lacked in size, they made up for in numbers lol. The Pike was a nice way to finish. I would love to get pike, but they do not occur in Australia.
@@SolarfallBaits Yeah, we have barracuda (Sphyraena sp.) and barracouta (Thyrsites atun) and a few pike type fish, but Pike are definitely a bucket list fish for me, they go hard and look great. And the good sized coota and cuda are really only accessible by going offshore.
Ultralight is underrated I'm practicing it for about a month now and let me tell you i have never have so much fun before, the baits that im using are so small that everything hit them even fish that are not predators hit them, my biggest yet is a 2kilos snook and that was on 4 pounds braid
I hit the like button first as well 👍🏽 I love the videos I would like to see you make a lure for bluefin tuna 🎣 hope you add it to the list keep your lines tight🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟
SolarBaits I'm glad you got back to me I understand what you are saying I mean I wouldn't go out and buy gear to catch black marlin because they are half a world away 🌊🌊🌊🌊 thank you for making your videos so detailed it has really helped me out carving my own baits and hopefully someday we can get out casting some bluefin No joke 🤙🏼
Alot of cutting the shapes out of wood could be automated using an arduino cnc setup and a program called xcarve but the finer work by hand . You could save energy and time doing it that way.
thats not the point of these videos, the point is to do everything by hand and show people that you can do that if you just put time and effort into improving your skills
Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit czcams.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.
Do you make any lures that are 20 grams or less? I would love to get one of your lures for average sized large mouth bass. There are a great many of us bass fishermen and it might be a good market for you. I have seen several of your really large lures and when I decide which one I will get it to display with collection of loon based items.
i do have lures that are smaller that i've done in the past. i'm working on a lipless crankbait that should be around 20g if it works well i will probably sell them too.
Its just something to fill out the empty space when im not talking, could have used music too but not everyone is going to like the music i would choose and natural sounds are pleasant to most people.
@@jasmijnariel To qoute the greatest philosopher of our time Bart Simpson "i'm damned if i do and damned if i dont". I guess you just have to try and ignore the background sounds.

@@SolarfallBaits Everyone makes mistakes but a good way to avoid this kind of mistakes is simply not throwing the fish around! I place them in the water, oxygenate them a little and they leave my hand when they're ready. That pike release was sad too, needed to be oxygenated!!
@@lorenzomarsili8183 perhaps your right, i get excited when there is a school of fish around and you want to get your bait out there as fast as possible and get some fish action on your video after hours of casting and catching nothing, this is probably something a person who doesent make videos cant appriciate cos its not something you have to deal with, hence the fast releases that might look a little sloppy at times. There is no need to needlessly oxygenete fish when the fight is short and water temps are not boiling hot, and as you can see clearly in the video after few second of releasing the pike and it orienting it self the pike spurted to the depts.
@@heazy87 I'm fine, fish wellfare is no joke and i take it seriously. Moreover i think that we should all strive for better fish handling, me in particular since i make these public for everyone to see.

The parrot color you mentioned is called Firetiger in Germany (with or without black stripes(perch style))
Interesting, here we call "firetiger" spesifically the color that has the black tiger stripes with green yellow and orange base color.
