@@corneldelport7490 this is not a very well known fact but its is a fact. before Adam and Eve there was Steve. good work. A lot of love in this lure, and great to see sand/sand appoxy as an ingredient which makes it extremly unique, Thumb up and best regards from germany, chris
Just a thought, could you carve the wood first then add the wire then mold the sand directly to the wood? It seems like it might be faster and easier and might even eliminate the need for the tin can. Thanks for your videos, I always enjoy them.
I saw the preview on Instagram and thought, that I had a pretty good idea, how you have done this. Turns out, I knew nothing (John Sand). ;) Really cool and creative lure!!!!
Great video I’m new to your channel and I’m loving it. Probably one of the best bait makers I’ve seen along with my man from marlingbaits. Great stuff keep it up.
Fantastic video! My first time watching and am now subscribed. Will comment more on lures I would like the see for large mouth bass, later, There are some things I would like that I just can't find. Couldn't use your large lures but might get one for the house as a work of art!
They also work fantastically for pike in shallower lakes and ponds, especially in the summer, when the weeds are high. Really like using those, when the pig softplastics I usually use are, well, too big.
Quite creative with a beautiful and functional result. I am hoping to start making my own large spinners ( for when I am retired). But this goes so much further. Very well made. Such creativity has to be watched regularly. Thanks for sharing.
Been fishing for over 45 years, made a few lures & Might (?) be able to make the spoon but that Paint Job No friken way ! : ) Absolutely Amazing technique - Beautiful!
Came here unknowing of your channel, expecting some hodgepodge dirt thing, and left with the realization that you can make a pretty damn cool thing with some wood, paint, sand, and epoxy. Nice job
Good Evening SolarBaits first time watching the video I live in Puerto Rico being here for couples of months n very nice lure keep it up bro, it very cool Work. Let me know where i get some to use them too
thanks Dieter im not all that fantastic with spoons yet so there is plenty of room to improve. btw if you still remember the spoons you send me years ago, they have worked wonderfully in my area, caught a quite a few pikes with them.
@@SolarfallBaits I remember , that I had sent some spoons to you , but do not remember the particular models anymore . I'm happy to hear , that they have worked for you , anyway . Regarding spoon fishing and also spoon making , I have always been focussed on heavy spoons , since the waters I used to fish , were up to 15 m deep and I wanted my spoons to run as deep as possible . But today I also see a need for slow sinking , yet sufficiently heavy for casting , spoons like the ones , you've kindly introduced i this video . Years ago I had made experiments with spoons made our of such two-component repair clay : www.amazon.de/2-Komponentenkleber-Befestigung-Rollenhalter-Seifenspender-Accessoires/dp/B004KQV1TO/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_60_t_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=DKETDG14YHMESJ8SQCB6 Sadly this stuff is pretty much expensive , but sometimes they sell no-name products in discounter special offers , which come quite a bit less compared to the brand name prices . To render the clay spoons heavier(the cured clay itsself is quite light , but still heavier than water) , I had gathered lead chips , filed off a chunk of lead with a coarse file and evenly worked these into the clay before finally creating the spoon's shape . One has to be very quick in doing so , as the processing time of the mixed clay ist only a few minutes before it starts to set . Made two spoons this way free-handed , using a mold would have surely been of advantage , ...one of these spoons turned out to work great , the other , a more slender one , got too heavy to wobble well .
I have used that very material before just not on lures though as its rather expensive and i tend to keep the expenses low. Its more challenging to make due with less tools and gadgets and keep it ghetto
WAHOUUUU ! ! ! Wonderfull work ! in the beginning I thought " what ?!?! what is he doing ?!?!?! Very clever work, and beautiful ! CONGRATULATION SIR ! Emmanuel from Paris, France
