You made a HUGE mistake in this video. You placed Newport in Connecticut. Newport is in Rhode Island. It always has been and it is this Newport that was the home of the uberrich in the 19th century. Please pay attention in the future.

Newport is in Rhode Island, not Connecticut. Also, a "fancy dress"is is a costume party. So gross that her lover's costume which enchanted her was that of "a Black slave". That tracks, though, given her other lover King Leopold's viciousness in the Congo.

The video's attention to detail, such as Jenny's daring snake tattoo and her encounters with prominent figures like Prince of Wales, adds layers to the narrative. The storytelling is both engaging and well-researched, making it a compelling watch for history enthusiasts. The tragic end of her life, marked by unexpected events and personal challenges, adds a layer of humanity to the narrative, making Jenny Jerome a truly intriguing historical figure. Thaniks!

There is an excellent biography of JJC titled Jennie. After you read it you'll wonder why no one has made a movie of her life. She was promiscuous but she was also a great help to her first husband in his political career and to Winston in his quest for glory. She went behind the scenes to make things happen for both of them.

Hey thanks for the comment! The British did make a movie of her entitled: 'Jennie: Lady Randolph Churchill.' It is a British television period serial made in 1974 and you can watch it free on CZcams. It stars Lee Remick in the title role of Jennie Jerome. The series covers the time period from 1873 to 1921. In the United States, the series was aired as part of PBS' Great Performances. There were 7 episodes. Here is the playlist of all 7 episodes. czcams.com/play/PLyd2Akt7Kzlbj6Aow_rTYK-JAqpSW1Ds6.html

Well behaved women seldom make history!
It was very common in those days for men, particularly, to have mistresses.
(and all through the ages up until the 20th century)
Seems scandalous to us these days, but after the victorian era, women were expected to be
of high virtue. So mistresses and brothels were the answer!

I think it is interesting that you didn't talk about how she started a magazine with Winston when he was young. Reminds me of when John Kennedy's son started up a magazine. Must be a gentlemanly thing to do. She was quite a woman ahead of her times. The dabble in the theater, wrote and produced a play and did a whole bunch of other things in her life. I guess sex sells and that is why so much of your video is about her love affairs. Guess things haven't changed much in 100 years.
