I found the Yager version to hold up surprisingly well in outdoor areas, but the interiors have horrible lighting in general.
Wow dead island 2 2015 looked really good for its time!
Dead island 2 was such a pleasant surprise for me bro. I haven’t played a good zombie game in a long time that i’ve genuinely enjoyed. I know I will be replaying this game for a long time to come.
Dead Island 2 is a 10/10 for me. It's 100% what I wanted.

In my opinion this is an example of development hell resulting in a better product. It's rare it turns out a positive result.
The original product was open world. I believe if that kept that vision we still could get something great.
Great comparison between the 2014/2015 DI2 and the 2022/2023 DI2. Plus love the Let me Drown Instrumental Soundtrack.

As a whole Dead Island 2 gets a 9/10 from me. Only because the ending felt rushed and sudden I only wished the game's story provided more. Other than that it is golden

I have sunk hours into both. I am thankful I have. 2023 has felt like a remake in my head, sort of. Somethings stick out to me, remembering them in the older build. Notably the music, 2023 has very remixed tracks from the old build, but you can still vaguely hear it.

@@jeffreyramsaur796 Yeah, looking over the menu's. Checking out the areas, the broken quests, just killing shit. I spent a lot of time in the spot where you can spawn a bunch of enemies and weapons.
How can i play the First version of the game?
2015 has many things to make it more challanging zombies can now break through the doors.
2023 they just made those zombies into a complete punchline with nothing to offer.

Dead island 2 fron 2015 was the same as dead island 1 but in a diferent location While Dead Island 2 from 2023 feels like a different game and is also more realistic with the graphics

Even though I really enjoyed the final game (finished it after about a week, never saw the ending of the first game or Riptide tbh), apart from the excellent dismemberment system I am not quite sure what took them so long to finish the game. They probably tried for years to develop a coherent open world instead of hub levels ?!

I don't know why, but I prefer dead island 2 2015 more.
Both nailed the Californian vibe, however new version got it realisitc, while the other one is like exaggerated

I had a dream where i were in dead island world i had to save my wife and kid lol its got the menu from dead island and when i clicked play i spawmed in deep sea i got out and boom some islands with zombies and a crashed airplane then i got to the city there was so much of them and they had hud bar over them okay later i got to tunnel that was filled with cars and zombies there was a thug zombie i killed them and found my wife and kid i told her to hide in bunker later i got to old town filled with special zombies like spitter
