@@potatoman9116 they arent coded to your phone, they are registered with the old motherboard so the new one is looking for parts with a seperate serial number

Nothing will beat modding the iPhone 4. Back glass used to be super easy to swap and there were tons of options available out of China. Good times.

A personal favorite technique I like to use when removing any flex cables held down with adhesive is a heat pad with combination of isopropyl alcohol.

To remove the camera bumps use your soldering iron to melt the weld.
Do you think 100w is enough to melt a weld , ofc nope

@@LeeMooEez weld is different than soldering
Weld requires a extreme temperatures like 300°c , if you're not similar with them I'll explain
They are small metals fixed between two metals, they are quickly heated and fixed by a semi electric gas firer, these are common in southern asian countries and others only seen in factories
@@LeeMooEez and yeah melting them removes the camera bumb but it may crack the glass

Thanks for sharing your tips, tricks and insights. As a repairman, it’s very insightful. One quick question: could the laser adhesive remover machine work for the back glass? Keep up the great work!!!
Im worried it would cause burn marks
@@PhoneRepairGuru but glass doesnt burn? So it would help remove the paint and the glue along with the metal frame (apart from the welded camera bezels).
If we lower the laser power, it won't burn the glass. Also, the low power laser will not completely destroy the glue but definitely loosen it well enough.

I done this to an Galaxy S6 yearssss ago. It was so easy to do compared to this lol. I got compliments on the phone all the time people like the clear mod.
Jimmy is a life saver
The problem a lot of people don’t realize about these glass mods and maybe this will help you buddy is it a film most of the time it’s not painted you need to get the film off. It’ll be a lot easier. If you can get under the corner what I have found works for me is the cut at a 45° angle at the corner and scrape backwards towards outside. This will cut off the corner film and then you can have something to grab onto. You will still need to get under the peace with a razor blade but once you’ve done that you should be able to pedal most of it off in one piece, I find spraying, icy propyl under the plastic helps loosen the glue.
Source: I was the first in the world to do the back glass mod on the note 5 and galaxy s6 and it was my specialty for years
@@E-hab i’m not entirely sure either I haven’t tried with an iPhone in so long lol are used to do digitizers and sometimes I did have films. The film is so thin when you scratch the paint off it doesn’t look like it’s there and it’s very hard to scratch it could be there. That’s why it’s more of a possibility really hard to paint glass so they find it easier to paint the plastic. Could be wrong!

the camera ring is not glued,but it's like one piece wit the plate
so you have to cut the plate

It would be so cool to see a all clear phone showing all components on the sides and back , and then just a fully bezeless screen up front. even the buttons would be clear.
PRG u can use a mini cutter made by reva to cut the metal bracket.
try using the lazer machine to loosen the adhesive for the metal brackets on the back glass

As someone with an iphone 14 pro, i don’t think ive ever used the “wireless” charger and i dont plan on it either. If i did this and somehow messed the coil up would the phone still work and charge same as before?

you didnt have the holes on the vaccume aligned with the silicon mat on the delamination machine, which means it wasnt really holding the phone down. Probably wasn't great for the heat tranfer either.
