    You have glue music applied in the corners after it gets too much. Less glue on the contours looks great and no residue to clean. Good job.

    Great video. I generally change the case and once I tried the glass only on a 11. That was a mess to glue the new one, I needed to put some elastics around the camera.
    Does the 14 pro max doesn't need that or you have a special glass?

      It is definitely more profitable doing glass only, also keep in mind this was a 14 so there isn’t really much housings in the market yet and if you come across one i am sure it is more expensive. Price of glass is sub $10 compared to housing price which is over $200

      I am glad you found my video helpful, I have not attempted to buy back glass other than from US based vendors. However one tip I would suggest asking your future supplier wether it is a two piece glass or not, if it is i would suggest avoiding those since they are more fragile and break easily.

    250C is a bit much, I melted once some plastic parts in the inside with less heat. And also for the battery so much heat is bad (it’s better to take the phone appart, even if it takes more time).
    You should be more careful with the edge, it seems you scratched the frame on the top (it also happened to me).

    • @Electroprozinc
      @Electroprozinc  Před rokem +2

      Everyone is comfortable with different heat settings, to me this is ideal. As far as the frame it may seem like that probably due to the angle of the camera. Also keep in mind it is all about how you apply the heat in order not to melt anything you can’t hold it in one spot for too long.

      I use 180c along with super glue remover. 250c can melt to much stuff or if a board repair had been done with low melt solder it can cause issues with that. It takes a little more to remove it but it is much safer.I unplug the battery only and have never had an issue with damaging anything, knock on wood. I also move around on the phone so one spot doesn’t get to hot.

    • @Electroprozinc
      @Electroprozinc  Před rokem +13

      To me it is all about how much heat you are applying and the orientation. If you can see heat is applied at an angle most of the time and not straight focused on one area. This helps air to travel and warm up a larger area but less warmer than if you focus it straight down. In my case we use 250-60. This temp does not affect the board underneath even if you leave it focused in one area for a long time due to the fact that apple switched from low melt to a higher temp solder that joints the interposer. Also around the camera is where you need to be most careful with how you apply heat because you can actually melt the camera lens and you may melt the flash or get desoldered. Think of soldering and chip replacement if you can perform that with no issues, then removing glass with heat method has a similar concept which is move heat to another area once piece is removed.
      Also, Plenty of videos will show you a botched frame full of scratches and dents. This helps minimize pressure applied to frame and causing less scratches and dents because it is warm enough for glass to lift easily but not warm enough to cause any damage to other components.

      It is not possible to destroy the board with 40 air and 180c heat. You probably used the punch tool. Using the punch tool on top of the location of the board can break chipsets inside the bottom board. We have done thousands of phones using this method with zero issues. If you are a careful person, issues like the ones you mentioned can be minimized.
