dude is a total pro!!! this is how vids need to be. no dumb editing or title credits, and no filler. just info, pro narration, and ALL the right kinds of pro tips :) love how he even discusses to drive it above 45 mph to reset shift points and other computer-related issues that can arise :) A++++ vid
Well said.
Exactly. This is an example of a great instructional video. I also noticed the bolt sizes which saves a lot of time trying to find out the hard way.

just fyi to all, the newer i30 model has a air intake duct that blocks the +ve bracket. so you will need to unplug the duct first before you can push the dismounted bracket aside. i am a newbie and i was following this video too! thanks, ray, for your video. you made it look so easy.
for those living in the States, i30 is what they call Elantra overseas.
THANK YOU! I just did this, by myself, at 12:30 am because I drive rideshare and I don't have time to lose money. I followed you word for word. Now I have new tools too! Lol
Thank you very much for this video. I just changed my battery thanks to your video here. The only different thing I did was since I didnt have an extension for the wrench, I lifted up the air cleaner, then could reach the hold down bolt without any wrench extension. Thanks for the video!
GREAT video, thanks for the socket sizes and quick explanation. Also super helpful to know that the car might not idle right 2 or 3 times after the battery swap.
This man saved my windshield 🤘🏻
Got that real car mechanic voice, love it!! Great video, thanks.
Thanks! I used this video as a reference to change the battery in my 2013 Elantra!
Thanks for uploading this video! Here's another tip: You don't need to completely remove the battery hold down bolt, just back it off till there is a few threads left. This will save you from having to find the hole again, or worse, dropping the bolt into some unreachable nook and cranny. 👍
This tutorial was great. I just changed my battery for the first time with the help from this video.
Thank you for this video! My vehicle is a 2014 Kia Forte, but it has the same setup as the Elantra (as far as the battery is concerned anyway.) I was going to have my car towed to my mechanic - frozen/dead battery - this video of yours saved me a lot of time and money, didn't think it would be so easy.
Thanks man, this really helped and was glad to hear you give socket sizes. 👍🏼 👊🏻
Very helpful. Straight and to the point without having to watch a long video. Thank you!
When removing battery? Did it resets all your setting on your radio etc?
Everything worked great except on our '14 Elantra the battery holddown bolt was a 12mm, not a 13mm.
Best Elantra battery swap vid on youtube. Great info. Thank you!!
Thanks man this helped me on my wedding day for an unexpected event! Appreciate it!
Thank you for your help! I would never have known what to do with the shroud, or known about the one screw that keeps it down thats hidden in the front. Awesome video!
Thanks for the useful video. And thanks for not adding music, etc. and other distractions common in most videos these days.
Great Video, simple and easy instructions! Thank you and Congratulations.
Nice & simple, thankyou for socket size!
Thx, I needed do load my wifes i40 battery over night at home. It's similar built like here in the Elentra and it helped me to be sure how to remove the battery.
Thanks for the helpful guide, clear directions
You can always learn something new no matter how much you know. I did not know about the car needing to be driven and restarted a few times to get the battery used to the voltages.
Great vid..mine died today and had no clue where to start
Thank you for posting!
Great vid. Saved my day!
Very helpful! Thank you so much!!!
Hey brother! Thank you from Richmond, VA. The cold zapped our battery and this video made it crazy easy. Happy 2021 Thanksgiving to you and yours.
Great vid mate.
Thanks a lot for that video very helpful even for veloster
Is there anything I can use to substitute for the rachet extension for the 3rd bolt at the bottom ?
Thanks!
Thank you battery died and needed to replace it video also helps with the “veloster”
When removing battery? Did it resets all your setting on your touch screen? I have the veloster too
Why did you use a H-5 instead of the H-6.that came out?
Hey everyone a question I just updated the navigation system on my 2014 Elantra gt hatchback and when the system restarted the screen froze all its showing is the blue hundai emblem. I cant access anything but the am radio xm channel 1 all my xm channels are gone I cant listen to CD my phone pairs but you cant see anything the screen is only blue with the hundai emblem what can I do to fix this I took out the fuse for the system didnt work if I take off the positive post on the battery will that fix my problem please help
ugh, so if I don't have a 13mm socket with an extension I'm screwed?
Thanks sire!
Nice one 👍
how much Volts are those Hyundai i30 / Elantra - using?
12V or 24V ?
I bought the H5 at first but found it was smaller then the one that came with the car as shown here. The 2014 Elantra takes a H6.
Which are the dimensions of a battery of 2015 Hyundai Elantra?
Thank you.
Bob Guimaz group 47/H5 battery
Thank you I have just faced this damned problem
Does anyone else feel like this is Chris Farley? I swear its him.
