  • This is the ultra lightweight bike Ollie rode at the Taiwan KOM Challenge 2023. The frame is the super light carbon TRIGON AR01, which he paired with the ROTOR 2INpower SL dual-sided power meter and 40mm carbon Drive wheels from Elitewheels. He takes you through the full bike specs, does a freehub soundcheck and weighs this UCI illegal set-up!

I'm happy to hear Ollie say non pro ride could be better off using larger disc rotors. I have a hybrid which I have had for a number of years. It originally had 160/160mm rotors. I did change the brakes not long after I got my hybrid. When I did change the brakes I went for 180/160mm rotors. When I recently changed the brake again. I still went for the 180/160mm rotors. #ASKGCNTECH Can installing tubes into a currently tubeless setup be a long term option? I have ridden a current gravel tire and wheel setup as tubeless for about 3 years but the TWI still shows lots of available tread remaining on the tires. I recently removed the tires from the wheels to clean out the old sealant but now they will not reseat even though I removed a lot of sealant and the bead seems clean. After many attempts to remount the tire I am now consider just installing tubes. I know installing a tube works as a puncture repair to get back home. But, is it advisable or not to use them long term?

As a big guy (86kg), who's been bigger, let me also jump on the bigger rotors wagon. 160's are ok, but, geez, 180's would make me feel better.

This frame is over $4,000 with a handlebar/stem and seatpost. That puts it in the same price bracket as some well-known, top-end bike shop sold competition. I'm sure the Trigon is a quality product, but that's absurd pricing for a DTC frame from a brand no one has heard of. For comparison, the excellent and proven Winspace T1550 aero frame costs $2,070 with Winspace's aero one piece handlebar/stem.

i really effing hate it when people say "oh this manufacturer makes bikes for others but i cant tell you or sth along those lines" like eff me, 1. its not giving us any extra confidence regarding the qualiy, 2. if it really is of such high quality, why use other bike brands that you manufacture for to promote your own brand instead of making a name for yourself (by whatever means possible), sides no one can verify that statement, so using somethng that may or may not be true to promote a brand and its product that may or may not be good just sounds like a effing scam
