I think that Armand is LYING his arse off!! If we go by what Lestat told Louis and Claudia, Nicki meant so much to him that he composed music for him. Then when Nicki died he didn't try again to love anyone for another hundred years. Hell, he even had the music box with him in NOLA. So WHY would he (in Armand's version) treat Nicki so poorly? I might be mistaken but this is someone that Lestat knew and loved from Childhood BEFORE HE WAS TURNED! So... Yeah, I scarcely believe a word of how Armand portrayed Lestat... Well, maybe he sprinkled some truths about Lestat's opion of his group of zealots and that Lestat rejected him, but a lot of it, imo are lies.
I will never believe Lestat loved Armand ..he missed Nicki for over around 200 years
“If we go by what Lestat told” - and why should we believe him any more than Armand hmmm? “Why would he treat Nicki so poorly?” This is the same Lestat that routinely told Louis he loved him while cheating for years and occasionally beating him to a pulp. I’m playing devil’s advocate because Lestat has enough advocates and just because it’s written in the books that doesn’t change that it’s still Lestat’s version of events and he’s as unreliable a narrator as Louis or anyone else in the show!
Magnus was a former member of Armand's coven that left (in this version at least), made Lestat, and then threw himself into a fire right afterwards. Marius is the name of Armand's maker (In the movie Queen of the Damned they make him Lestat's maker too, but this is not the case) - he's very ancient and will come up in later seasons. There's no reference in the books as to who made Santiago, as far as I know, he just says that his maker was a nember of the coven but broke one of the sacred laws and ended up in one of the coffins in the walls as punishment. And no spoilers, but ALWAYS take Armand's version of events with a grain of salt lol.
Magnus made Lestat and Marius made Armand
Lestat is soo strong because his 300 year old maker Magnus, was old and powerful but also never made a new vampire so it made is blood more powerful ontop Lestat is biblically made to be a vampire. He has tye natural ability to be the greatest vampire.
In the books yes. In the TV show he's nothing special

Claudia's fatal flaw: assuming what people know and don't know.
1) At this point, isn’t it clear that both Louis’ and Armand’s accounts of Lestat should be taken with a huge grain of salt? To say the least?
2) I’ll never understand people buying into the “romance” between Louis and Armand when they’ve seen the epic passion and chemistry between Louis and Lestat that never ever subsides. 🤷🏻♂️
3) I have just 3 words to say about Claudia: burn, baby, burn… ☀️
