  • I have built the ULTIMATE "budget minded" stock chassis Razor MX500, and let me tell you how I did it! Just for background info, I am 5'10 and 300+ lbs and this bike does about 32+ MPH. While the suspension is not ideal, this thing is perfect riding wheelies and street hooning around.

    Great video. Im just getting into this and found the same motor/controller kit for a little cheaper than E&C from HotPaxx but with a 3000w my1020 motor. Kit offers to include a 48v/20ah battery but only at 50 continuous amps/ 100a max. Is this enough to do wheelies or do i need to look elsewhere for a 48v with at least 100A like the 48v/100A you offer? I want the wife and 8yo daughter to be able to enjoy it as well as myself. Will the same kit and 48v/50ah/50A tide me over for some time before i will want to upgrade to something like a 60v or 72v or am i going to be dissapointed with 50A?

    Electro and co has all of the different price options for the kelly controller. Do you need to get the e&c tune or are you able to just get the basic option for $165 and have it work fine?

    • @MomentumWatts
      @MomentumWatts  Před 6 měsíci

      The base $165 controller works fine, you'll just have to cut up your wiring harness a bit to connect your motor and throttle to the controller. If you want a plug and play solution, that's when you would consider the high priced options they offer

    Great video. By chance do you have a video on how much I should pay for a used bike?

    • @MomentumWatts
      @MomentumWatts  Před 6 měsíci

      Depends how used it is and how it's setup. Facebook market place in my area seems way over priced on every razor, you could definitely build the bike cheaper then what they're asking

      Right now there’s deals on used like new razors (open box) for $320 on eBay. Got mine for $220 few days ago but it was listed as slightly used great condition

    What options did you go with from electro and co ? … did you get a service, Bluetooth connector and cables ?

    • @MomentumWatts
      @MomentumWatts  Před 7 měsíci +1

      This particular bike - I just got the controller, nothing else.
      We have purchased their whole pre-wired /pre tuned kit in the past for others builds and it's fantastic, but in the spirt of saving money, you can just get the controller and check out one of the many videos that explains how to wire it up on your own.
      The Bluetooth dongle is for tuning (changing parameters) it's worth having if you like to really get the most out of the bike and dial in the power. The app itself is free

    What motor would you recommend for a 72v set up?

      FW11 - momentumwatts.com/products/sotion-fw11-drop-in-razor-motor-60-mph

    Do you have to do a lot of different wirering with this setup?

    • @MomentumWatts
      @MomentumWatts  Před 7 měsíci

      Not a ton, it's only like 10-12 wires that need to be joined 1 to 1.
      Voltron Watts has a video on his channel that walks through the whole process and has some diagrams to make is pretty easy
