LETSGOOOO
Edit: gawdamn, not one but TWO SX500s with Discontinued W&R panel sets.
Mx vs sx frame: backbone sits higher and shock angles are different on the SX
Battery, i got the dimensions to fit the largest batt you can before hitting the shock, and have space to put the controller over the batt
Noticed swing arm design is different too. What size battery do you have?
@@PatOutdoors sorry for the late reply, i now have a 72v 40ah 240a cont. battery from amorge
Thanks for the shout out Pat! 👊🍺
Anytime man! You’re an inspiration
You have been an inspiration to me, and because of you, and a close friend of mine. I built my own e-bike, and I've never had so much fun 😂
No going back now!
Always excited when u upload
Rocking the same shirt today 😂
nice bro! cant wait to see the final product 🫡
Nice build Pat!
Mounting that R&D battery tray right now lol
Stoked to see this build buddy
Off to a great start.
YESIRRR SX500 one of my favorites frames 💯💯💯💯🔥🔥
love your videos and content
Love it BRO!!
Just got mine yesterday and waiting for the parts to come in, thanks for the ideas!😂
What parts did you go with so far?
@@PatOutdoors I got a 48v battery and a brushless motor kit, I’m going to upgrade more down the road but I’m 14 and buying it
Good to see you using that new yeller impact instead of a drill! Nice new collection of toys there ;-) Been following a while, love these build vids man!! Thanks for the inspiration!!
I am building an MX650 with my 10yo. New front forks, bars, taller suspension, 14in front 12in rear pit bike wheels with knobbies. 420 chain conversion. All we have left is swingarm extension to fit the bigger rear wheel and then battery/motor/controller.
Ever thought of trying one of the available swingarm extensions or custom swingarm?
Slowly (but surely) trying to step it up! I used Electro & CO’s swingarm extensions on my MX650 and I’m installing a set on this bike as well on the next video. Been pretty happy with it, but you may need longer than 3” stretch if you are going for BIG power
@@PatOutdoors for sure! I actually found another company that does extensions as well, for 100 less than E&Co. They offer different stretches too, 4-5in, 5-6, and 6-7 I think. There's a company that sells a full custom swingarm as well, but you don't get the chain tension adjustment.
Apologies, I missed the vid with the extensions, I will check it out! Keep up the great work brother!
damn those are some nice forks... got a link for em?
I built a 72v 49Ah pack for my sx500. Battery covers still fit as OEM. Still rectangular in shape. No tray mod required. 20kw. Fw11. Stretched arm. 635mm forks.
JESUS that’s a lot of battery.. were you able to fit the plastics over it?
@@PatOutdoors yep. Just had to trim the top of the covers for the battery to peak through. Everything is still bolt-on.
get a custom box outta foam get the messurements and send them to amorage to see the biggest battery you could get at 72v
THAT I wanna say is the best suggestion so far. Thanks for the idea!
Hey Pat, Can you PLEASE do a video on the Nucular controller and how to update firmware(export and import) and also how to add custom firmware you may have acquired from a trusted source? That'd help a lot of us that have a xXx... Thanks either way man, I LOVE the channel!!!!
If you want to go crazy I have two set ups, fw11 amorge 72v 40ah and a nd72530 or if you really want to go all out a fw01 with amorge 96v (around 320 line amps so probably monicell 42a not 21700) and a nd72680, could even go torp. Make sure to get the encoder version of the fw01 if you go that route tho. Torp has an encoder lead.
I’m likely going with the 72V 40AH Amorge with an EC4P v3. I saw the FW01 swing arm set up which is sick! (But unfortunately outside of my budget at this time.) Maybe on the next SX..
@@PatOutdoors sickhope the build goes well, I agree the fw01 swing arm kits are crazy expensive. Almost 1k🙁 the ec4p kit with motor controller and throttle is only like 800
@@milesneff8886 the swingarm kit shipping is $780. The FW01 kit is $1800 without a controller
Hey pat can you buy a ‘’Renegade 50r’’ and upgrade it please
Letss gooooo
Hey PAT, Can you share with me the link to buy the fork, please 🙏
Amorge 72 40, sotion fw11, fardriver 72530. Send itttttt. Writing this at the begining of the video to put my predictions out there lmao 🤣
And definitely go #35 chain. If u need cheap motor sprocket combos burromax sells em
He might as well go 96v tbh, i regret staying 72v
@JonnyDuzzit would be epic thats for sure
what editing software do you use for your thumbnail to get the blur like that?
I just go on Canva .com (free) and use the "auto focus" feature under edit image
Most definitely go 76v 11000w
I just ordered an EC4P v3. Now it’s just a matter of picking out my controller 🤷🏾♂️
get a 90v and drop the frame like voltron
76v 32 ah battery from amorge
Hey pat I want to know how much time I would get with a 48v 20ah battery and 1800w motor?
That’s fully dependent on what controller you are using, rider weight, sprocket size combos, and terrain. Also depends what average speed you are cruising at. From what I’ve tested last year with a 33A controller and being 175 lbs, about 20 miles is when it cut off for me
@@PatOutdoors one more question will a 48v 20ah battery be compatible with a 2000w motor?
Greetings, I have a technical question totally on a similar Razor., I just purchased a used MX650 U all I did. Was I removed the 3 lead sealed battery & installed a 48v 10Ah lipo battery. I am using the original control box & brush motor. That was factory installed. With no load full throttle no issues. However, when my 10 year old son. Rode the MX650 it can go 10 miles per hour only. Then shuts off immediately at full throttle. Test drove MX650 myself with cell phone at mph. With my weight it shuts off. I have to turn off or reset the power switch. Powers up control box. But I have to slowly throttle to get it to go. With my weight it shuts of at approximately 9 mph. Shuts off & have to reset power switch each time. When load is immediately full throttle Perhaps you might know how to tweak or remove a resistor inside this original 36v control box, brush motor. I suspect it could be a voltage sensor inside the control box not to exceed 36v. I notice that the brush motor has 2 wires only blue & yellow. I don't this it has any hall connector from motor. Thanks.
No hall sensor on the standard motor. Sounds like your factory 36v controller is starting to fail. You can go on eBay and look up “mx650 fast scooters controller kit”, which is designed to be used as a direct replacement for the stock controller and support 48v input
Is it the motor Tech 36 V or 48 V forks?
48V, but used with an adapter kit from EMXBrandon. Similar to what Electro & Co sells as their “ETM fork”
@@PatOutdoorswhere did you find fhem
do 88v from electo and co
Can you send me a link of this specific battery you are referring to? Are you talking about the 76V batteries?
@@PatOutdoors my bad the battery is 76v the controller I saw could handle 88v
