In this episode I rebuild and restore the alternator, smog pump and power steering pump. Next they're installed along with the exhaust manifolds and a bunch ofother pieces .
I live in NC so I've never seen anybody install the smog parts back on a SBC. Interesting. We be taking that stuff off, not on. Great work as always, better than new.
I lived in California for 55 years. That equipment is like gold. Everything ‘76 and newer still has to get smogged every 2 years. I had to put all that crap on my ’85 K30 when I built it. So glad I’m in a free state now that doesn’t have testing!
You're doing something I always thought about doing with my 4th gens, but always got lost in the "oh I'm just going to hot rod it a little" then it goes out of control. Your originality looks amazing, can't wait to see a factory correct 4th gen.
Did the blue reflect that GM identified the motor as a 305? Or was just coincidence? Love the original though process on the build way to Novas with headers and go fast stuff anyways lol
CONGRATULATIONS THREE RIVERS WRENCH on reaching 1000 subscribers!!! Well deserved, great work and instruction!!!

Trying to keep it as original as we can!😁

From what I understand, around 1977 Chevrolet switched from orange to blue regardless of engine size.🤷🏼♂️ This one’s a 350.
ok thanks@@threeriverswrench
I had a ‘77 K5 back in the day with a 400 SBC. It was blue like this.
