Her husband is Mayor of Atlantic City. She is Superintendent of Schools in AC makes well over $200,000 a year. Cell phone and personal use of government vehicle is in her employment contract.
She was issued a parking ticket LATER after this video went public.

Update April 16 2024: Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small Sr. and his wife La'Quetta Small have been charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, Atlantic County Prosecutor William Reynolds said. The mayor has also been charged with terroristic threats, aggravated assault and disorderly persons simple assault. La'Quetta Small, who is the superintendent of Atlantic City Public Schools, was also charged with three separate counts of disorderly persons simple assault. On March 28, five search warrants were executed at the mayor's and his wife's home and cars. Jacobs, the mayor's lawyer, said cellphones and laptops were among "a long list" of items seized during the search... toxic people.

She should be ashamed for illegally (and unjustly) using a handicapped placard. These officers should be ashamed (and written up) for not ticketing this lawbreaker.
This really boiled my blood because the people that need it she doesn't i always see this my daughter needs the park but rarely do i get one because of these people

She says it's her tag, then later admits it's her mom's. The police let it go instead of ticketing her. Then the suspicion of theft is glossed over, muting their cams to talk to her off the record. So many things are wrong with this. In Florida, your license or state ID is printed on the handicapped tag, no need for another card. Police can see who's tag it is in a couple of minutes.
Different states have different rules. A friend of mine has a tamp tag like the EB in this video, doesn't have any kind of registration card. His name is printed on the tag with the expiration date.
The cops should have confiscated the handicap placard

If the placard holder isn't in the vehicle... our cops cite the driver and confiscate the placard....these two cops were either seriously lame,, or afraid of somebody higher up the food chain....

Why is she driving a city vehicle on personal time? The time stamp on the video looks to be normal business hours and she doesn’t appear to be dressed for business or conducting business duties.
That cop was bending over backwards to find an excuse to let her get away with illegally parking in a handicapped parking spot!

First thing she has is an excuse for her lousy parking. Right there is guilty as sin. In Missouri, if you use somebody else’s placard. You get find the placard gets Confiscated
If the handicap placard is issued to a person and not to a vehicle then the registration should follow the person.
If she had a legitimate permit she'd be able to easily prove it was hers. The fact that she finally admitted that it was her mother's permit, she should have gotten a ticket and been told to move her car immediately.

I slightly disagree with you on how much school district superintendents are paid. In Pennsylvania some are paid about $150,000/year but in Pittsburgh the super earns about $275,000. Their salaries are all over the place. That woman could be one of the ones who is paid over $200k/year.
She should definitely have a ticket and not just slap her hand and let her walk away because she knows she isn't supposed to park there now she will continue to do guaranteed

In Australia the persons name that is on The Handicap permit must be there in person, as I take my 87 year old neighbour shopping some Times,, she brings the permit with her, sadly we have this same problem here.

Oh the entitlement is strong with this one, but sometimes it is hard to tell if it is entitlement or just the "f#%k everyone else, I only care about me" attitude. She owns a Range Rover, is provided a very nice city vehicle, all funded by tax payers for education while education scores nationwide continue to drop. I'm think that there are a lot of teachers would rather have the money spent on that Tahoe spent on school supplies.

Here in the UK we have 'Blue Badges' for handicapped people. My wife has one.
I understand that not all disabilities are visible. After all 'stupidity' is not always obvious... But it irks me to see people park in a blue badge space and then run into the shop.
We do not do enough to check the person who is entitled to the badge is in the vehicle.
Secondly, I am appalled that these cops let her off. No way Jose. Write her a the cost and take the placard.

The law says you need to keep your card with you or in the car at all times. She doesn't even know actual disabled drivers get an accompanying card. She should have gotten a big ticket.

When you get your handicap placard you get a letter to tell you to carry the card with you at all times.
The Placards have registration numbers like a license plate. You can run the number to get the registered persons name.

I do not agree with you about her owners ship. I own a custom hand built Acura, custom 68 Mustang and a Honda for daily shopping. My income is less than 100,000 per year. It is called money management. Did I mention I am retired. If she is making only 103,000 per year, she needs a 100 % pay increase. Her income should be close or over 200,000 per year. We have school teachers receiving 1,000,000 cash on retirement plus monthly retirement.

I didn't say it was through the school, only the SUV... im saying she doesn't make enough money to afford all that stuff based on normal incomes for her position, which is why i also said "unless its her husband or something". ;-)
