    LITTLE CABIN IN THE YUKON
    When I'm not traveling in an RV or at home working on an RV, I'm usually at our remote, off grid log cabin in the Yukon. My husband and I have had this cabin for over 20 years and love it. If you'd like a look into that part of my life, I have a channel showing how we live there, lots of beautiful scenery and wildlife. So much of what I learned living off grid at the cabin has come in handy living in an off grid RV! The link is here-

    I feel like you would have to have your face right up to that little tiny window in order to see anything lol. Those are interesting little clips. If the hummer didn't have rounded plastic interior pieces, I might have got some for it. It's very cute. I like how you intertwined it with the ivy.

      Yeah… I don’t really see the point in all these little windows in SUVs. Kinda useless. The lights actually come all ready entwined with the ivy, so it was easy! Thanks for watching, Felicity!

    Hi Sue! First, thank you so much for the shout-out! I really appreciate it. Very smart to use your liner (plastic) to stick them in. The clips have worked really well. Your car looks wonderful with the lights. ❤❤❤❤❤

    Oh these clips are so awesome for small homes on wheels. I had never seen them but now I need these in my life. I use tiny paper clips now. But these are cool. The ivy on the fairy lights is a good look.

    Omg!!! Thank you so much for bringing these to our attention!! I've been wrestling with a way to affix my fairy lights to the ceiling as I have no plastic frame around the windows in which to tuck things.
    I've seen the way other people do it and either they're using safety pins or they are using some kind of tack/clip that has the pins sticking straight out. All I can foresee is those dropping to the floor and I won't find them until I make a painful contact with them...or my dog does! 😦
    The best and safest I could think of so far is to use duct tape that matches the ceiling liner.
    I had literally yesterday decided not to bother putting up my ivy fairy lights until next year, but now I'm going to bring them back out LOL

      @HoneyandMe  Před 9 měsíci

      Yay!!! I’m so glad this helped you! I’m absolutely living my ivy lights!!They make the car feel so cozy when we’re all tucked in for the night❤️I ended up just tucking the battery box under the headrest with the switch end sticking out. Makes it really easy to turn the lights on and off and get to them quickly when I need to at night. And after 2 solid weeks of car camping, no issues at all with the clips staying in and the lights staying put!👍Let me know how yours go up!-Sue

    I was watching your video you made in May when you showed how you set up your car for camping. My goodness, a Matrix, I was surprised. I thought a Rav4 might be too small. You have a great setup. I wonder how I will get into bed. My knees are not very good. I have a free standing screen tent, no floor but two chairs and a small table can fit, three without the table. It might give more living space like your awning does. I plan on getting storage for the top to put my camp chairs in and other things that take up space. Do you think you might get that Thule capsule for the top of your car? ( have to get racks first.). It would be good storage. But then I have to find a way to reach the thing. 🤣
    Keep up the videos. I’ll subscribe.

      Hi and thanks for watching! The Matrix is very doable as a car camper. And the Rav4 even more do! I’ve been in the Rav4 for 2 weeks now and it’s working out great! I am using a fabric cartop carrier in this trip, but do want to get a Thule carrier, or one like it. It does require the cross supports which I’ll need to add to the cost of it all. The fabric one actually holds a lot more stuff, but it’s not as water proof. I’ve been opening the doors and standing on the door frame with my toes hooked under the edge of the seat to keep from slipping off! It works, but does take a bit of balancing and one handed juggling!😁Good luck with your setup and adventures!❤

    Have you tried these with the over the door frame window screens? Would be nice to keep bug free, dry and ventilated all at once.

    • @HoneyandMe
      @HoneyandMe  Před 5 měsíci +2

      Yes, they work fine. They don’t get in the way of the screens at all. Thanks for watching!
