Outside of Hickory, NC sits Mai's Farm where she and her husband grow a list of things you may not have heard of or tried. But Mai is best known for her ginger, which she introduced at the Hickory Farmer's Market. Since then, many people have tried their hand in farming ginger in North Carolina.
Mai's passion comes from growing what she enjoys eating and it turns out many people like the same things. Many restaurants in Charlotte order from her farm every week, buying items that they would probably otherwise not use or have to import.

I have been getting Mai's produce for some time at the Hickory farmer's market. I love that she is always introducing me to new vegetables and herbs to try. The produce is fresh and always great tasting. It's so exiting to visit her booth and see what's new. She's also great at suggesting how to cook what you purchase. 😀
