  • Freshlist visited Wild Hope Farm in Chester, South Carolina just as the spring is beginning. We talked with Peanut about what farm life has been like from her after transitioning from a corporate career in Boston. Peanut loves problem-solving and improving the systems on the farm year after year.
Wild Hope Farm has grown along side Freshlist, building a community and a large following at the popular Matthews Farmers' Market. The farm is certified organic and focuses on building the ecological systems of the land to preserve it and provide high quality produce. They also strive to provide a living wage and work-life balance to those working in agriculture.

It is crazy to me that they grow an acre of flowers! I would love to hear the difference between the perennials and annuals and how that plays into the end bouquet!

I am very interested in market gardening and farming. I want to start my own market garden eventually but I have some limited experience and would love to work in a place exactly like this. I am in Myrtle beach South Carolina but would be more than willing to make a move. Please let me know how I can reach out to you guys.
