I wonder what this or the Cummins L10/M11/ISM would sound like if it used the Ingersoll-Rand 150T air starter, since it is the turbine version of the 150BM series air starter?
@rboffill I wonder how the Cummins L10 and Voith D863 could stand up to tough matters as this? TriMet is still running their 1992 Flxible Metros as of right now, but are due up for replacement in less than three to five years.
You dont hear too many starters like that anymore!!!!!!!!!!! nice very nice
jesus that sounds so freakin good, i can't help the way the bus sounds !!!!!
I love it when it idles at 0:18

I remember when New Orleans had Flxibles, IIRC they were a little different tho
U Damn Right It Is!
I would say almost 90 percent of the fleet by now. Even the Novas got the quieter air starters.
@rboffill
A few DD 3-53 and 4-53 diesel engines could be found in some Chevy and GMC light to medium trucks.
Yeah she does, but 3603 has more power.
THAT BUS SOUNDED SWEET, but I prefer the CUMMINS with the airstarter!
Is that a Detroit Diesel 6V92TA drive engine with air starter on 3515?
Awesome
