They all had ZF Transmissions and the last 25 had Cummins M11s. Around as late 2002 going into 2003 the rehab process began and was completed around 2006-2007. Some went unrehabbed though while others only received minor upgrades.

@Steven Darkins My first time seeing a 6000 on a 103rd route was in April 2003 when i saw one parked at a Popeyes on the 106 East 103rd at 103rd/Dauphin as the driver was getting some chicken. That was when 77th sent the last of their 6000's to 103rd for some 5300's.

These buses were definitely were the end of an era for the high floor buses. I should've mentioned that about 100 of these buses were assigned to Forest Glen garage in the early 2000s until their retirement in addition to their assignments in other garages like 77th, 74th, Kedzie, 103rd, and even Chicago. Even North Park used these buses as loaners during 2009. The routes I remembered seeing these buses are 1,2,3,4,N5,6,7,8,8A,9,X9,10,12,14,15,18,20, 21,22,24,26,28,29,30,34,35,38,44,47,48,50,51,52,53,54,55,X55,56,57,59,60,63,64,66,67,69,70,71,72,73,74,75,76,77,78,79,80,81,81W,82,84,85,86,87,88,90,91,92,95E,95W,100,103,106,108,111,112,119,124,126,130,145,151,152,154,155,156 and 201.
