Vacheron Constantin is easily one of my favorite watch brands out there. Unlike a lot of brands in its class and despite its expensive collection, Vacheron Constantin has a more approachable feel and a timeless aesthetic that’s hard to argue with. In this video, we’re taking a look at both the new 18k pink gold Overseas and also a bit of the history of the Overseas collection as a whole.

I've always considered myself much more of a white metal (i.e. steel, platinum, white gold) guy than a rose/yellow gold guy, but when Vacheron Constantine released the full rose gold Overseas Perpetual Calendar (both blue dial and skeletonised) earlier this year I fell in love.
And then VC released this; the rose gold version of my all time favourite watch, the Overseas 4500V blue dial, and I suddenly realised that if I had the money I'd currently be wearing a watch with a full rose gold bracelet, which I honestly never expected to say.

Was very close to buying my second watch but then I found my fathers old watch. Around 30 years old Russian made mechanical "Raketa 2614.H". Round and small - 35mm. Very light blue dial, colden case, date display at 6 o'clock, silver metal band and a little scratched crystal. Love it! Runs a bit badly but I will have it running properly again. So, this will be my second watch.
First watch was Casio MTP-1303SG-7AVEF. Bought it for my 17th birthday. 9 years has passed and felt an urge to get deeper into watches. Was looking for Seiko, Tissot, Citizen or Orient. I am not in a hurry. Sometime in 2021 third watch will come.

If I were in the income level that can afford a luxury watch, the Vacheron Constantin Overseas with the blue dial and rose gold would be it! My only nit-picking point would be that the rotor appeared to be in yellow gold, which was a slight distraction from the rose gold case. Not a deal breaker, but I'm surprised a bit that the designers went in this direction.

There is no wondering as I watch whether I could get one, no running to Chrono24 to see what they are going for etc. I can simply enjoy looking at what is basically a work of art up close in the same way I admire Fabergé eggs. The fact that these are tiny machines only adds to the wonder of it. ( I kinda love that it doesn’t even hack) it’s like this stands above such “earthly concerns”. In the event that I was in the position to purchase a Vacheron Constantin Overseas. I would go for the Stainless Steel Chronograph. Some say that a person should not spend more than a weeks wage on a timepiece. I agree with that. Considering that the overseas is not hacking I own a watch that will have to be the placeholder for the VC. It's stainless steel, it doesn't hack, It has a blue dial, Not a chronograph, I set it back one minute every Wednesday since it speeds upp about a minute per week. It's price is 0.5 % of the VC Overseas Chronograph. The fact that VC has been in business for 266 years is so remarkably amazing. In my mind, the Overseas perfectly expresses the understated while impressive look, of a true quality timepiece. Thank you for an excellent video.

Great watch! I would love the gold! I think this is the best integrated bracelet watch out there. Also the quick change system is amazing and gives the watch some flexibility. Also the lacquer is gorgeous!! Huge fan of VC I think they're the member of the holy trinity that kinda flies under the radar. This version of the overseas is my favorite, also I'd love the original vintage 222. In terms of future reviews, I'd like to see a review of the Gorilla outlaw drift. I love the star wheel display and this is their first circular case watch so I'd like your thoughts on this. This is one of the few micro brands that are doing original designs and even if it's not everybody's cup of tea, I like the fact that they're doing something different. All the best for 2021.

I am a buyer and fan of micro brands but I love Tudor, Breitling, and Rolex ( but can't justify $10-12k on a watch) I have been to my local Rolex dealer in Pawleys Island and got a full sales experience trying on every watch I liked. I loved the Sky Dweller blue dial on white gold and $47,000 price tag had me buy a lottery ticket lol. My realistic choice would be a no date blue dial 41mm or Explorer 2 41mm. Blue dial Rolex looks great to me. I am thinking a Explorer will be the Rolex released this year. Thanks for your knowledge and insight. There's no getting around the fact that if you're the type to hope people notice your watch there is no substitute for Rolex. It's the only Swiss watch brand with 100% worldwide name recognition after all.

as a young man in his 20s and getting a first and only one. Would you recom Rolex Sub or VC Overseas 4500v Stainless? To me its hard cause I know the sub is most copied watch with fakes etc and a lot of people owing one. the overseas and vc is not talked about that much. i like the sub for being very durable, at the moment I am looking at the vacheron constantin overseas and for some reason that watch is calling my name. I have a pretty active lifestyle so a durable and versatile watch would be ideal. I like VC cause its not recognized by many people and only a few will know that brand compared to like rolex, ap, patek. I feel like wearing a rolex draws unesscary attention to me since its to most well known / popular luxury brand out there.
