@@mikewaite3746 the PRX is a nice watch, but when you see it in person it is a bit disappointing. I wanted to love it. I think the Maurice Lacroix Aikon is a better quality timepiece in that range. The D1 is also a decent cheapie.

The Overseas has been my grail watch for quite some time...and then they go ahead and release the 222...absolutely stunning. What's incredible to me is that 45 years later, the 222 looks like it could have been designed last week. What a timeless and brilliant design.
My daily wear is a birth year Omega, with an integrated bracelet, from the 1970s and people are constantly surprised how modern a 50 year old watch looks.

Completely disagree. To me this looks absolutely dated, exactly what I would expect from a 1:1 copy of a 70s watch.
The 222 is the epitome of a classic wrist watch, simply sublime.

That 222 is the most beautiful watch I have ever laid eyes on. From the first time I ever saw one in a picture online years ago, I have not been able to find a watch with a more graceful, masculine, timeless design.
I m new in waches, from 1 year. My friend introduce me to some cheap waches. But i start to dig in and when i sau this VC 222 i get mad....I can t sleep at night thinking.
"The previous one was a nightmare" this guy is definitely speaking truth. An engineer not completely mutated into a salesman.

I’m loving the higher attention/focus on brands like Vacheron, JLC, etc instead of Rolex! I think the shenanigans Rolex has been playing with availability is really going to help build a following to some of these other great watchmakers.
rolex aint playing shenanigans, they already produce a million watches per year, the demand is just out of the world...
try to buy an overseas now and they will let you jump the same loops as for a sport steel rolex ;)
I really enjoy this new artwork of mechanical watches. All due to Ted. Stumbled on his videos. Bought a Breitling superocean and a daily SEIKO field watch. He is classy and got me into the art of watches. I'm hooked.

@@TeddyBaldassarre Ted, can you suggest an everyday watch for work for around $800 to $1,200 wear a suit every day. Needs to be sporty but elegant and timeless. I don't like to wear my good watch or my beater. Need an everyday and thr PRX is already everywhere.
I think the 222 stole the show this year! Check that, took the show. VC is really crushing it. I love that the Historique collection offers modernity while referencing the classics. Great video.

I have never wanted anything as much as I want a vintage 222 but it just wasn’t possible. Now, maybe it is! Incredibly exciting and wonderful piece (in 37mm, of course)

I got high-end rep Overseas, after wearing the replica for almost a year (I also owe original GMT), and haven't been spotted once I have no doubt, the original doesn't worth 1\10 of it's price, They replicated any part of it including the inside movement. It's all about the craftsmanship and let's be honest, China can't be beaten.

@steve manna you don’t mention if you had the chance to compare it live. I personally can spot any replica watch from 1 m and less. If one buys a replica means either they can’t tell the difference or they think they people that look at your watch can’t spot the difference.

Vacheron is one of my very favorite brands. Have the rose gold overseas Chrono with the rose gold bracelet (special order). While I I luv the platinum salmon dial traditionalle…that perpetual calendar skeleton and new Tourbillion are spectacular.

That 222 ... oh my god ... it's unbelievable that it's a design from the '70. If I would have to chose between the nautilus or the Royal Oak or the 222 for me the Vacheron would easily be the best of the 3.

I know the pricing categories are not the same but brands struggle to make a GMT complication in under 14.5mm and VC makes a perpetual calendar in under 9mm thick. Awesome. A future 222 in stainless would go crazy.

@@UnburdenedByWhatHasBeen economy rarely tanks for the ultra wealthy who is the primary target for these kinds of things. The ones that get hurt are lower and middle class. These prices and availability aren't coming down.
@@jsongraham i dont disagree but the stock market will definitely tank and from what im hearing it wont be long. In 2008 i was scared to put too much of my money out in the market but i will be placing my bets this time around.
Although the differences are subtle, I prefer the original watches gold tone. It looks deeper, richer, more impactful. Whereas the reissue looks paler, more restrained. But I prefer the hands on the reissue. A stunning piece no doubt.

The golden 222 is a cool revival. The skeletonized, titanium tourbillon Overseas is whopping.
The new 222 is my dream watch. To me it's much nicer than the Royal Oak and Nautilus .

I believe VC is the best member of the Trinity. To be honest, I would bump off AP and replace them with ALS or Breguet. Vacheron is the oldest Trinity brand, and the Overseas blows the Royal Oak and Nautilus out of the water.
Sorry but Royal Oak is still "better" than Overseas although this is entirely objective

Man These are such beautiful watches I absolutely love VC. I regret getting rid of a old 3 register chronograph I had. Kicks me in the gut when I think about it.

They're just waiting for the right moment to release the new stainless steel model of the 222! I'm a million percent sure they will produce it.
