Your face when you took a bite...says it all. Not bad, but not good and probably not worth the hype. I too was tempted to try the BC version; now I'm kinda glad it didn't happen. I love unusually colored tomatoes, but, first and foremost, they have to taste great.

Yes! I agree. Taste should be the most important factor. It was still fun to grow but you're right, not worth the hype. Thanks for watching!

Did a similar review a while back with very similar results. I've also put up a garden update talking about it as I've snacked on it many times since. Here's my thoughts for here: Not as purple as claimed, but good color throughout. Taste is bland. Has an odd finish I noticed after snacking on it lots of times over a month or so. Plant has a weak structure and aged poorly. Saved a ton of seed, but not going to grow again. Enjoyed the review.

Hey there! I just watched your review (and subscribed). Thanks for sharing your feedback. It's good to know we both had similar results. I noticed the odd finish too. Kind of bitter. It was fun to grow but won't be making my "must grow" list. Thanks again!

I'd still be tempted to cross these with my wild Galapagos tomato since the WG is so robust, productive, and disease resistant. Though do we know if the GMO purple DNA bits would survive into a hybrid offspring?

Hey there! Great idea. I haven't learned much about crossing and hybridizing yet! That's a new area for me to explore. Wish I had more input for ya!

It was beautiful. Thanks for the spotlight.
Did you order your new Baker Creek catalog?
Sometimes they have their new seeds early for sale. Do you know if the peas on the cover are new?
    How are your chickens doing?
Am moving to sisters property pretty soon now. Have to do lots of research on chickens now.
What types of chickens did you get? They seem to be friendly from your pictures.
Thank you inchworm gardener. !!Good informative video.

Hi there!! I haven't ordered my new catalog yet! Need to get on that..
Chickens are doing good! They just started laying eggs! We got them from Tractor Supply in the Spring. I think they are Rhode Island Reds and Wyandotte.
Good luck with your move and the new property!
