      Thanks tons! A really unique and great type. After the video and as soon as the seeds were out me and Angel fell on them like vultures on a carcass. LOL Good stuff.

      Thanks a bunch! A really good and pretty mellow type for acidic content. Hoping this is one that works out for you or at least get a closer look at at least once. Stay safe and motivated. :)

    They look quite round, Atomic Grape should be much more ovally.
    Looking forward to trying them in Australia this Summer. We finally got them here.

      @UT33200  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks tons! I agree they are usually much more oval and even quite a bit larger. Am thinking this is a rough grow for us as far as true look. The 1 plant we have of it is in a container between 2 Black Cherry tomato plants and had a rough start to the season as well. Normally they are much larger for us and the shape stands out more. Still think these make a decent container grow and even better grow in the ground but will have to make sure they are less crowded roots and plants next time. :)

      @@UT33200 Could be a bit of cross pollination then, that has affected the shape?
      Love my Black Cherry as well. Friends who've come over and tried some have asked for a plant the following year.
      One of my friends said his 3 year old ignored all the other cherry varieties last year, and kept going straight for the Black Cherries.
      Can't argue with the opinion of a 3 year old. They know what's best.
      As well as Black Cherry and Brad's Atomic Grape, will be trying out Sungold and Barry's Crazy Cherry this year.
      Good luck with your weather. It seems absolutely horrendous. Ours is getting worse too, but nowhere as bad as yours.
      I think in a few years, I'll be forced to get a massive greenhouse. Seems like the only way to protect all that time invested in the garden.

      It may be crossing but they for the most part taste and color are same. Usually the cross won't show up until next season but can sometimes slip through. We do have others growing from the same seeds we shared as well and theirs look alot better but are in the ground. I am thinking this is probably either stunted or a genetic defect. Hopefully not crossed but always a possibility and will have to watch the rest. We have some Barry's Crazy Cherry this year and are hoping for enough season to get them through till the end. If not a good try next grow. Also the Sungold is high on our list. I have tried it once but that off the vine a week and in a fridge. Hear so much good about it everywhere. Wish our kid liked tomatoes or peppers. He does like alot of other weird veggies that are extra good for him so I guess it is a trade off. :)

    Just got atomic grape seeds can't wait.

      Thanks tons! The Black Cherry is our favorite over here as well for about 5 years now since we tried them. An excellent type for sure. The A. Grape is good(very good) and a super unique grow as well but the King Black Cherry still edges it out for us. Good luck on both grows for you. Really think the A. Grape is more about sweet but probably a close 2nd or 3rd place type. :)

    I could see the green real good. The cracked ones make the best eating ones to us. Sounds like a keeper for ya's. Stay safe in those storms and have a great rest of the week.

      Thanks tons! A keeper for sure. Am thinking the storms may be giving us another good break starting today. Never trust Mother Nature or the Weatherman though. LOL Hope you had a good week. Am thinking about you guys everyday. :)

    It seems our weather was similar. This morning I heard something strange outside. It was dark but I went out to see and it was thunder and I saw some lightening in the clouds quite a distance away. Still haven't tried ripe green tomatoes. Did you eat one? Total silence. 😁 Best wishes Bob. 💖

      @UT33200  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks tons! The silence after eating one was due to me slipping into a meditative trance enjoying all that goodness. LOL That crazy weather has us on our toes over here this year for sure. That lightning is a sight to see. :)

    A week ago today we experienced a storm as you described, I'd never seen lightning constantly flashing like that before. We ended up losing power for 5 days and no internet for 6 days, but we didn't suffer any property damage, and the garden loved all the rain.

    • @UT33200
      @UT33200  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks tons! That internet/power challenge is a tough one and one we have been going through a little as well. 5-6 days is too long though. I think my family would lose their minds and become feral. LOL That constant flashing is like an alien abduction movie. Scary and amazing at the same time. Hang in there. Not much season left and am hoping you get a couple more good breaks your way. :)

    Don't plant the seeds of hybrid as you saving their seeds

      Thanks tons! We don't make any money on our seeds and other than a few really, really close family and friends have we shared any. They are more of a personal thing we do for fun and not profit or mass exchange in any way. :)

      Sir I made the note before I realized that you seem to be trying to improve my favorite tasting tomatoe but thought you might be more like us small garden gardeners just being cheap and probably going to have potential lost of a season of enjoying the hybrid for their advantages.
      I changed from the red tomato repeat the same beefsteaks and really mix both heirloom and hybrid and still looking for a new favorite.
      I respect your effort to make gardening improvements, Thanks for that, And being a great sport.

    For people I prefer white, for tomatoes I prefer black. I am probably the only one who dare to say that, that's how pathetic people have come to be.
