San Diego is the 10th biggest city in the US in population. 10th! When did this happen? San Diego is not a huge area to fit all these gosh darn people. If you can afford to live here though, you should live here. If great weather, a fun downtown, beaches, beautiful people, lots of amazing food is your thing, then yeah, San Diego is the place for you. Not to mention an unreal Comicon. The weird thing is there is only 1 pro sports team. And SD holds it down for the Padres.
There are other things to do in the city than just enjoy downtown, the Padres and the beaches. Is the Pacific Ocean the best ocean, or am I bias? Check out the USS Midway Museum or Balboa Park. If you're really feeling frolicy go to the San Diego Zoo. It has repeatedly been claimed as the best zoo in America. Not into land animals? Head to SeaWorld San Diego. These places are are not what locals will tell you see, but for a vacation, especially with kids, go go go.
