The cold water is why the weather is so nice. Hot water causes heat, humidity, and thunderstorms. Cold water cools the air above it and when the land heats up in the summer the air above it rises and the cool air over the water rushes in to take its place causing an air conditioning effect along the coast. Water temps in the 50's and 60's in the winter warm the air preventing freezing along the coast so the climate is moderate all year, not too hot or too cold.
So the cold water is a pro and a con I guess?
I think it will depend on whether you spend most of your time in the water or out of it.@@BernMcGovern
Good point!@@CLaFong
Landed an aerospace job there and will be moving to La Jolla soon! Excited!!
Very cool. Congrats! Let us know if you need any help finding a place to live
Thanks for being honest about San Diego. I can say I am a San Diego local and it has changed a lot over the years. It definitely has gotten more crowded but at the same time it has gotten a lot better for living. Over all traffic isn't that bad. I am not surprise the home prices has gone up but in some ways it won't be more crowded. I definitely like the diversity especially the food and culture
We try!
GREAT research for this video! Also enjoyed this pacing of this video 👍
Thx! I tried to change it up a bit
I live in San Diego. I'm lucky enough to live in a group home for disabled adults where I only pay around $450-$500 a month.
I'm digging the new transition graphics!
Me too they are awesome!
Travel professional here. It’s incorrect to say “Direct” flight when what you really mean is a “Non-stop.” Direct flights have at least one layover.
Duly noted - my bad
Thanks Bern, Where's Courtny? When I lived way back in 1992,hosing,food,gasrestauranys etc. was affordable disliked how it didn't feel like a huge city. I did like either walking or riding my bike in Balboa Park. I also used public transportation mainly buses, which were fine. The trolley I think only went to Tijuana. I like Coranado quiet and beautiful. I liked old Town, once had 2-3 frozen Margarita's and dinner .Once I got a car it was easier to go places. Oh, the oceans are cold, maybe colder than the Northeast where I grew up. I took a brief swim in November, mistake. once in June, I was at Mission beach, I took a swim, at first not too cold, but after 15 minutes or, I was cold and shivering. As you can tell, I do miss San Diego I hope to visit next year, as I still have one good friend who lives in La Mesa. His parents are still doing well, living in Vista..
Courtney wasn’t feeling well this week so I took the reins😀. But I love the feedback
Be aware of the tourists lol, having worked at Belmont Park I can't agree with you more
Well done....good job.
Thank you
Looking for pubs/resto's with upscale lounge vibe. Similar to Polite Provisions in North Park...need to make a list for when I go back :)
I’ll make a video about it
@@BernMcGovern oh I'd love that. TY.... before April/May'ish would be preferred. Cheers.
I miss San Diego - would have a hard time retiring there now.
I wonder that myself
Hate how expensive it is here
Me too!
What about the san diego gulls?
Definitely forgot to mention them
@@BernMcGovern hockey never gets any love haha. Great video!
@@doublexproductions it would be awesome to get an actual NHL team with the new arena coming
@@BernMcGovern Seattle got one. I am sure the NHL will continue to expand and San Diego SHOULD be on the list. I trust the higher ups of the NHL more than I do the NBA. Still waiting for the supersonics to come back...
Most Accessible Place in America
hate over priced rentals $4000 apts $1,200,000 for house
100%
Chicago has the worst traffic?? Not New York?
I think they are both bad
There are too many SAMS there.
Where? Just in San Diego?
The best :the weather
The worst: everything else
Gotcha
you forgot income tax
Kind of falls under the cost of living but yes I should have mentioned it
San Diego is offiically the most expensive place to live in the US. I love it.
It is quite expensive
☝️🤡.. IF YOUR 🤑 RICH, every place is fantastic 🤩. Great restaurants, first class entertainments, fantastic 🏖️ Beaches, and lots of free time to do all those fun things. If your just getting by,, Not so much 😔
Very true
San Diego is a dump
Thanks Robert, Where do you live?
@@BernMcGovern I concur San Diego is a dump 😂. Coming from a fellow San Diego native 😉
