Remember to pour acid into water when diluting! Never pour water into acid!
That's a very hard rule to remember on its surface.
To actually remember, ask yourself which you'd rather be splashed with, if the reaction is violent, "mostly water" or "mostly acid."
This puzzle was my introduction to the Hell That Was Underwater Puzzles. Due to nearly getting trapped under a pool cover in university, I have a mild drowning phobia. I had a *great* time trying to convince my subconscious not to start hyperventilating throughout all of these. More than a couple of times I had to walk away from the puzzles for a few minutes.
It's not even water that you're submersed in, in this puzzle. You're submersed sulphuric acid. I'd think that the possibility of drowning would be the last of your problems if anything had to go wrong in that case.
@@Jono98806 Yeah, but I don't have a mild phobia of sulphuric acid. :P
Were you playing in VR?
If not, I would think just "look around" (in the real world) would be the solution to the drowning phobia.
For Jono: Phobia means _irrational_ fear. People often try to reason other people out of their phobias. It's not going to work. My friend has a phobia of butterflies. He knows they're harmless. He still has the phobia. Also, your comment is kinda like telling him that mosquitos are more dangerous. That's also not going to cure his butterfly phobia.
(Note, the difference between that and what I'm doing is that I'm trying to reason from _within_ the phobia. If you have an irrational fear of drowning, then simply looking around and seeing that you are not under any sort of liquid should work... at least, that's what I would expect, but I'm also guessing, because I don't have the phobia.)
@@Mythraen I know what a phobia is. I wasn't trying to reason him out of his phobia, just making a comment about the context in the game. Since it's in a game, I know that there's no actual danger either way, so I would not have made a comment about the acid if I was trying to do that.
@@Jono98806 It's just fine, really. It's mild enough I still go swimming, underwater even. The problem really only arises when my subconscious thinks I'm (or I may be) trapped. Movie scenes can trigger it, for instance. I appreciate both of your comments!
I found a fun glitch with the acid suit. If you walk right up to the exit door and doff the suit, the acid won't 'drain' but you'll take the suit off. It creates a graphical glitch where the rest of Juleston looks like it's in the acid pool with the floaty stuff and a yellow hue.
When I played this part I could definitely "smell" the realm.
Just once, i want that voice to come on and say "We are Farmers! Bum Ba-dum bah bum bum bum!"
Good stuff that nothing managed to spill over from a full minecart with such amount of abrupt instant stops from full speed

Who thought of the ergonomics putting a socket on the front of the mine cart? AWS user-friendliness team?
I did not get that the first chart was from a top down view and looked at it as if it was from the side, leaving me utterly confused as to how it would help me.
I think this is one of the better puzzles as its more involved than most which all to often boil down to finding all the sockets and putting them to the on position.
Doff and don, are some old slang words from the time of Shakespeare and interesting that they come up in this game. The meaning I see for them is "to take off" and "to put on".

Most common phrase I've heard "doff" in was "doff your hat."
I was running around for ages before I found that path towards the mixer. And after that I didn't notice the Vestibule Hatch passing it dozens of times. Sigh.
At least the switch didn't malfunction.

"Water processing, mixer thing..." You mean a chemical reaction vessel?
I played the game on day one without patches and the hammer would not work until it was underwater. The only thing that changed in the patch was the text telling you that you need to be underwater to use it
I had the same bug with the tracks. Reloading fixed it.
I think taking the conveyance pod will also fix it.
DJUPGÅENDE (Swedish) would be something "deep going", I assume they meant tool/water depth but the case is strange.

The game not letting you save was just _weird._
I don't know what requirements it has for deactivating saves, but I'm guessing if anything is moving it will do that. In this case, it might have got stuck thinking something was moving, and it also won't move other things while it thinks something is moving.
That's pure speculation on my part to try to figure out what happened here.
Going off of the timestamp, it looks as though putting on the diving suit (or taking it off) broke it
It is funny seeing you getting more and more annoyed with the propaganda.
I had issues around those tracks too. Really irritating not being able to figure out what you're doing wrong, when it's the game that is wrong.
I found the exactly the same bugs, then found that the autosave stopped saving, I lost about 2 hours game play because of the bugs in this level. Even with the patches downloaded & installed made no difference!
